ScarTissue98ParticipantWay to kick your loyal fans in the nuts Sixers…. Is this the most tone deaf organization in all of pro sports???
Sixer fans who loyally attend games are losing their minds on Twitter
How do people feel about this?

theballerwayParticipantobnoxious/greedy. good business bad public relations which is kind of a theme with this team. Especially considering the current product.

Kwame33ParticipantSure it sucks for the fans, but that’s exactly how these things work. It’d be like complaining why Finals tickets are higher than regular season tickets. I’m sure even the Phantom of the Opera tickets would blow the roof off of your house if they ever announced they were about to stop showing it. It’s not greedy, just the nature of business.

I May Be WrongParticipantTo be honest, aren’t all ticket prices for ANY team going to go up with Kobe’s announcement? I would imagine every team takes advantage of Kobe’s announcement and advertise "Kobe’s last game in (location)" knowing he’s still one of the most popular players,

NBAjunkie81Participant"Kobe"fans mostly who will only attend this One game….. but it does look really bad for an 0-18 team that does have a small, loyal following who attend games to raise prices 800%
What’s the popular saying now "The Optics just look bad…"

I May Be WrongParticipantI suppose but it is a business. I’ve been looking at Thunder and Warrior tickets since last month and the same seats that will cost $45 vs the Nuggets on Saturday are marked at $293 vs. the Warriors. Understandably, they’re worth the price of admission. It’s a shame the tickets went up so drastically for a 2-16 team but it is what it is my friend. Can’t blame them for doing the American thing and capitalizing on a situation lol

JordoParticipantI mean. If Kobe would have announced his retirement at the very beginning of the year, every Laker game ticket price would have gone up. No matter how bad the teams are this is the last time you will see an all time legend play. The sixers are not going to sell many tickets this year so they kinda need to cash in even as wrong as it is to the fans.
