Mr. BasketballParticipant• Having said that, Hawks free agent Joe Johnson is expecting a hard sell from the Knicks in the event LeBron opts to go elsewhere. Johnson has set up shop in Los Angeles with his agent, Arn Tellem, who has an excellent relationship with Walsh. As of early Monday, Johnson had yet to schedule any free-agent visits – in L.A. or elsewhere. One person with ties to Johnson suggested a possible reason why he is 1) in L.A., and 2) in no hurry to entertain visitors. Dont be surprised if his strong connection to Clippers GM Neil Olshey explains why Johnson is conveniently ensconced in L.A. for the purposes of signing a max deal with the Clips. As a trainer for Tellem when Johnson was entering the draft, Olshey worked with Johnson and has maintained a strong relationship with him. The Clippers situation is ideal because Johnson wouldn’t have to shoulder the burden as the franchise cornerstone, a title and responsibility that will fall on Blake Griffin. The Clippers, with enough cap space for one max player, will make their run at LeBron, but the answer is expected to be a swift and polite, “No, thanks.” At which point you can expected them to move on to Johnson as their Plan B.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantDoes anyone think Joe Johnson will gain as much weight as a Clipper as Baron Davis? What is his opinion of In-n-Out Burger?

CelticJayhawkParticipanti’ll never understand why anyone would sign with the clippers..i dont care how much talent they have, it never works out.

Mr. BasketballParticipantCelticJayhawk ur telling me that if Lebron signed a 6 year deal with the clips he wouldn’t win there? yea thats what i thought.

darkisrising19ParticipantLeBron would tear his ACL in his first year as a Clipper.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 11:11am #343283

JJeff6ParticipantIm pretty sure Lebron will never go to the clippers….lol
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 11:22am #343291

IndianaBasketballParticipantThen why is he even bothering to invite them to Akron?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 11:23am #343293

JJeff6Participantokay…look at my post earlier. also he invited all 6 teams who can afford him. Id bet my left arm he doesnt go there.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 11:27am #343298
darkisrising19ParticipantSacramento and Washington have enough money to sign him, but LeBron didn’t invite those teams.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 11:29am #343300

JJeff6Participantyou know what i mean though. out of all the teams hes considering, the clips are at the bottom. no sense in even being hopeful for him as a clips fan
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 11:34am #343301

IndianaBasketballParticipantNo… I don’t know what you mean. You said he invited the six teams like they were the only teams that could afford him and that’s why they were invited. As it was said above… The Kings and Wizards also have the cap room to afford LeBron. The T-Wolves probably do too. Why haven’t they been invited based on your logic?
You have to assume that LeBron is seriously considering each team or else he wouldn’t waste his or their time.

JJeff6Participantdid you not just read what i said??? lmao. and i love how u gave me – points, like i give a fuck. I said they are at the bottom of the teams he invited. OK there are a few teams that have enough money but he wouldnt go there if hell was staring at him. your just being difficult, because I know any old retard could understand what im trying to say…..THE CLIPPERS ARE 99.99% NOT GONNA GET LEBRON. so lay off 🙂

IndianaBasketballParticipantIF LeBron isn’t taking the Clippers seriously then why did he:
– Go out of his way to seek Blake Griffin out on the Clippers’ bench before a Clippers game in LA this past season and talk to him? He also talks to Eric Gordon over the summer and thinks he’s one of the best young players in the league.
– Mention the Clippers and their roster during his interview with Larry King?
– Invite them to Akron to meet with him?
I doubt he goes to the Clippers, but to say he’s not taking them seriously or even considering them is silly.

JJeff6Participanthey and also im entitled to my own thoughts and im allowed think what i want, so dont act as if its wrong.

ZeroParticipantI also am entitled to my own thoughts and I could go around saying LeBron is going to the Raptors. But I don’t because that would be as stupid as saying LeBron will not go to the Clippers. Like ButlerBulldogs said, if he wasn’t interested, he wouldn’t invite them. Heck, nobody knows where LeBron will go. I myself think that if he goes to the Clippers, he will want to compete with Kobe to be the “King” of L.A (However LeBron will fail).

JJeff6Participantso you think hes going to the clippers. okay good for you?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 2:25pm #343354
ZeroParticipantDid I say anywhere that I think he’s going to the Clippers ?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 2:30pm #343355

JJeff6Participantwell you stated about 3 or 4 different reasons why he would/should, so it would only lead me to believe that you think thats where hes gonna go. And you came in to a conversation that didnt include you, so it also leads me to believe that you do have very strong feelings towards LeBron to the clippers.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 2:40pm #343356
ZeroParticipantI was proving a point that the Clippers have a chance at LeBron just as any other team. I also came into the conversation because after getting real facts that LeBron could go to the Clippers, you still say that he has a 99.99% chance of not going and not expect any negatives.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 2:42pm #343360

JJeff6Participanti just know that everything ive read has only pointed him away from the clippers and mostley to the heat and bulls. So im just predicting he wont go to the clips.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantFor Reasons I can’t explain- I don’t want JJ to become a Clipper. He should go to NY, bring in a man like Stoudemire with him and led the Mecca back to the playoffs
Why go to the little brother LA team?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 3:25pm #343378
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantmoney…and lots of it…the clippers want 1 guy…the knicks want everybody….
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 3:32pm #343380

Da1potParticipantI think it is more likely Rudy Gay will become a Clipper, because I don’t think that Lebron or Joe Johnson will sign with the Clippers. Either way, the Clippers are likely going to get an all-star caliber small forward this summer.

ball4life66ParticipantI was listening to the radio here in Atlanta and Al Horford believes Joe Johnson will resign with the Hawks.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 3:55pm #343395

JJeff6Participantal horford can keep dreaming…
