Jabari Parker suffered a serious injury that prevented him from Playing, Practicing w/ teammates & Training for close to a Full calender year

Since his return he has been eased into the line up b/c not playing for that long makes an athlete’s body rigid & prone to re-injury. Furthermore, having a serious injury causes an athlete to LOSE the physical & mental edge that any Peak performance athlete Gains from Years of training, practicing & playing w/ NO interuptions in time or Routine

A "Red Shirt" is when a HEALTHY athlete SITS out of games for whatever reason but STILL Practices & trains & abides by the same strict routine he / she has engaged in for Years b/c coaches, trainers & the Athlete Know that ANY time Missed from his Normal Routine will cause Setbacks

Apparently Joel Embiid last season & Ben Simmons this season are the 1st High Level Professional peak performace Athletes who IMPROVE when they do NOT train, practice & play & what is doubly Ironic is the same talking head Media hacks floating the Red Shirt position now argued the exact Opposite when NONE of the picked Ben Simmons in the pre-season ROY Poll

This ain’t college, NBA teams are paying guys whether they sit or not. It’s their prerogative if they want to ease young players coming off injury back into action.

Can’t tell if you’re just a Sixers fan sarcastically pointing out some media-hypocrisy about Simmons & Embiid sitting out past years. If so, I’d simply focus on the team’s fantastic season and enjoy their great success of late.

on Merit but this uber creepy group think on espn is disturbing

I’m actually a Lakers fan & I can’t stand the Sixers (so enjoying Phila’s great season is not an option for me) but this is nutz – these same idiots before the season All picked Lonzo for ROY b/c they said Simmons season missed to injury would HURT him

I’m know I’m getting killed w/ Negs sticking up for Simmons but I honestly don’t give a Uck if Simmons wins or Not – I Luv Mitchell’s game & you can Argue for him to win ROY on his Game

I just despise the national sports media at this point b/c they decide on a narrative in a meeting behind closed doors then drive a consensus Media blitz & I’m just tired of it b/c this stuff is usually b/c these dirt bags are being paid off or promised access
