After last year with Detroit, his stock has dropped but he still has a great game when healthy. I see him still able to put up 25 to 30 points in the right system. He probably will only make 6 million at the most for this season so why not take 2 million or close to it and sign with Lakers and get a ring.

Artest wants to win so his ego will not be a problem and he could come off the bench for that. Kobe would and the other veterans would keep AI in check. Also as AI is getting older, I think he has mature enough to not shoot himself in the foot so to speak. Also AI was never a good fit for the Detroit Piston. Their style would never mesh. I knew this before the trade. Stuckney was being compare to Billups who is a vet and he kinda underachieved because of it, Also Hamilton did not play hard because he was pissed off that he got tricked into thinking Billups would be back. I was kinda like what happened to Jermaine O’neal when he sign up and they wait to fire Issaih Thomas late because O’neal was a big Thomas supporter. That kind of shadyness can upset you. There were a lot of factors that cause the Detroit Piston to fall and AI was a scapegoat. He would have put up decent numbers for Denver had he not gotten traded. I think it will be a smart move. He could go to Miami but I believe that Miami would not do it because Beastly is you and you may not want AI around a young talented player that likes to party.

Artest will be ok in LA because Phil, Kobe, and the other Laker vets can reign one player in if he gets out of line. It would a lot more difficult to have two stray players.

I don’t think A.I. in L.A. would work either. I mean not one of those guys plays great without the ball in there hands and the triangle offense is really built around player movement with A.I. you would have three iso players trying to each run the offense and who is your catch and shoot guy with Iverson Kobe Artest Gasol and Bynum.
