I’m seriously tired of all the haters out there, Sherron Collins I still think will be a steal and will make the Bobcats roster…. In the game Sherron had 32 points on 12-21 shooting, hit 7 threes has 3 assists and 1 steal and played 35 minutes0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/12/2010 - 12:07pm #352719

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantHe’s still a little overwieght.
I think he could be a good 3rd PG next season.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantOff this one summer league game,do you think they should elect Collins to the Basketball HOF?

KU PRIDE14ParticipantI’m not saying he is going to be a hall of fame player, or an all star, I’m just annoyed that already before this game people were saying this “weight issue” has already doomed his career when I know it hasn’t, He has always had a weight problem but it never affected him in college and I don’t see why it would affect him in the NBA when he is playing at a high level at his current weight.

CameronParticipantI read Sherron Collins explodes and immediately thought it was referring to a food-related accident.

CameronParticipantWell for starters, the NBA is a much faster game than college, so weight does become an issue at that level. Secondly, no one is writing off his career, just questioning his conditioning. Just like you don’t think it’s fair to say he won’t succeed this early, it’s also not fair to call him a steal when he had 1 good game in an otherwise poor summer league. Not to mention this is far below the competition he’d face in the NBA

KU PRIDE14ParticipantThe NBA is much faster than college you are correct in that, but in college he was always blowing by other players and was considered the fastest player on KU so I don’t think it will be an issue, your also correct in that obviously the competition will be much better in the NBA. Last I’m not saying he will be a steal just because of this game but Iv’e watched him his whole career and far before this game I said I think he will be a steal because of his experienced leadership, knowledge of the game, toughness and shooting ability.

TRC1991ParticipantSherron’s got skill and hes a good athlete…the weight will come off just give it time

flybobbyflyParticipantI dont see why everyone is ripping on him for his weight. its like everybody thinks there is only one way for a basketball player to look. he is faster and stronger than most starting point guards in the nba. he can definitely score the ball and run the point. i wouldnt be surprised to see him starting in the league by his 3rd year in the nba. you can argue about weight and height and conditioning all you want but you cant argue with results. example.. Barkley

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantBecause he’s a point guard.
Rose, Rondo, Westbrook, Harris, Ellis, Nash, Wall are all fast

stanford hoopshe had a great game and i think he can be a third pg but before that game he was playing pretty bad so over all he didnt play that well in the summer leauge. that game showed that he should get a chance and get invited to vet camp

stanford hoopsand nash may not be fast in a one on one race but hes fast when it comes to the games which is all that matters

ilike.panochasParticipantSherron Collins has as much chance to stay in the NBA as Khalid El-Amin. Collins’ best route is Overseas, where he can have 10 year career and be a factor, I just dont see him being able to keep up with NBA PGs.

JNixonParticipantHe had a hell of a game, knocked down deep ball after deep ball, but he was shaky is every other game in Orlando. In the 3rd game he didn’t even play.

dipt1982ParticipantKhalid El-Amin anybody? LOL, he can score, on unproven NBA hopefuls, haha. Let’s see him make the team and do it in the big time.
