what do you guys think???? It’s a mixed reaction on my part having a strong personality like Shaq’s teaming up with the Big Three and Rajon… Not to mention JO is in the mix too…

mrknowitall313Participantwould b the slowest and oldest team in the league

RUDEBOY_ParticipantShaq should take a huge paycut and go play with the Heat..so he can win a fifth ring..then retire
after he wins it0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/23/2010 - 4:38pm #361602
btown gmParticipantshaq might like boston but i doubt they bring him in for a couple of reasons
1. money- shaq would have except a big pay cut obviously and would probaly have to sign for vet minimum
2. playing time- when kendrck perkins come back from injury shaq will be the 3rd center behind perk and j.o.
3. shaq is injury proned and inconsitent 2 things the celtics already have enoughif shaq is willing o take the vet minimum that he is more than worth it but he will defintl have to make sacrafices

llperezdo the heat even want shaq? He talked shit about miami when he left there and both pat riley and wade criticized him for his behavior. He also has said a lot about chris bosh. I think shaq has burned any possible bridges with miami.
As for boston. Couldnt hurt, but im sure boston would want him to play for damn near the minimum.

marcusfizer21ParticipantI’m still laughing when Shaq called Bosh the Ru Paul of big men… LOL
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/23/2010 - 4:49pm #361606

RUDEBOY_ParticipantBut Bosh made it even funnier when he said””The league should stop Shaq from talkin about me like dat”” LMAO!!!!

MagikKnickParticipantShaq has had a hell of a career, but its time to hang it up, big fella
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/23/2010 - 5:11pm #361623

PlatypusParticipantthey’d be able to stop D12 with Shaq and Perkins, i could see Jermaine O’neal traded asap if they got shaq
line up when healthy
Perkins – Shaq – J.O.
KG – Davis – Luke
Pierce – ????
Allen – Daniels
Rondo – Natei could see Davis or Jermaine traded, Big Babys contract expires and he’s hungry for $$$

mgreener_34ParticipantI would love to have Shaq on the Celtics if he’s willing to sign for less. Can never have to many bigs, and how many people wouldn’t want Shaq as a third string? Plus it will make the season more interesting, and give us one more punchline that doesn’t have to do with Miami. Celtics Lakers v3, but this time with Shaq? Could be interesting.

Counting StarsParticipantReportedly, Shaq wants $8 million. He’s priced himself out of contention for a job with Dallas and Atlanta. Maye he and Stephon Marbury can start the all-imbalanced team.

ChewyParticipantI want him to go to the celts simply so that he can have that nickname, “The Big Leperchaun” that was hilarious. Maybe it is not too bad of a move for one yr 1.35 mil. Maybe KG’s mobility can make up for shaq inability to guard the pick n roll.

Counting StarsParticipantKG’s mobility? He’s essentially been playing on one leg for the last year and a half.

dipt1982ParticipantJust like Steph, he’ll be huge in China!!!

RafterParticipantSymbol mirrors my thoughts, the C’s would be very bigman heavy and someone would have to be traded to free up space.

stanford hoopsthey dont need shaq to stop d12. they already do that just fine without him. and yeah he burned bridges out in miami. reports are they dont want him even for vet min. eventually he will have to realize that he will have to lower his price tag(he wants more then the MLE) if he wants to join a team. yes he’s old and people say he should hang it up but the guy still commands doubles on nights and damn near averages a double double. theres alot of big men who cant do that who are much younger
0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/24/2010 - 3:01pm #362074

dipt1982ParticipantYour right stanford, but he’s not willing to take the vet. minimum, he’s not worth 8 mill. He will go jobless if he doesn’t change his demands…

courtvisionmagParticipantKG, JO, and Shaq in the same frontline sounds like an all star line up if it was 05, but too bad they are all in their twilight years. And yes it would be way to slow and clogged on offense, while shaq can take the defense to a higher level with his presence
