The cavs can offer him more playing time and the best chance to start.

In Coach Scotts system Shannon could play SG, he would be able to run the team, because Scott likes both Guards to be interchangable.

The Cavs new fas paced offense would fit him very well.

He is also looking into other teams and on a lesser level resigning with the Lakers.

The other teams at this point look like Pheonix, Chicago, and maybe the knicks.

lol…Shannon Brown WILL NOT BE EFFECTIVE PLAYING 30 MINUTES A GAME!!!

He’s more like a 15 minute a nite guy…plus he struggled when he was with the Cavs..

He HAS WAAAAAY TOOO MANY LIMITATIONS TO BE A FULL-TIME STARTER

Im a laker fan, but same with how i felt about farmar, i hope brown leaves elsewhere. Not becasue i dont like them, but becasue they deserve the opportunity for more minutes. WIth fish signing for 3 more years and blake on board and barnes able to play some 2 as well as sasha, there just isnt any backcourt minutes available for brown.

shannon has done some highlight with the lakers and has played decent at time but i think its time for gim to leave and play elsewhere so he can show people he can play i dont want him to go but like farmar its just his time to go we dont have the room for him. but if he decides to leave im going to miss plays like this

I remember in that infamous “Andrew Bynum to Chris Bosh” a few Lakers fans on this site (DNYCE and Stanfordhoops) said that Shannon Brown could be a starter on the Raptors (or basically any team with average SG’s) and 14 ppg scorer in like 30 mpg. I obviously disagree with that.

Brown needs to stay with the Lakers. The triangle offense is what maximizes his ability. If a team has Shannon Brown playing extended minutes they will suck.

    so true..

shannon brown isnt a full time starter..

i love watching him play with the lakers..he had some brathtaking dunks..

but he’s not a guy who will give you 30 productive minutes a game

Would do well in D’antonis offense in NY and in Phoenix too.
He barely plays with the Lakers and his mins might be cut with Barnes now.

I think in Scotts system Shannon can do the same things he was doing for the Lakers.

He will be running the fast break alot and cutting from the wings, with his speed and athletisism 4dunks a game should come easy, then if he can make the occasional open 3 and a open jumper 14ppg is about right, maybe closer to 12.

Barnes will have little to 0 effect on his PT for the Lakers next year. They play different positions.

dude was almost out the league..

he couldnt get a roster spot in New Orleans or Chicago ..

He spent time in the D-League..

Playing with the Lakers gave him his grove back…he should stay with the lakers or go to minnesota where rambis runs a similar offense
