Its no surprise to me that Shabazz took the top spot and i’d go as far to drop Drummond even further not because he doesn’t have potntial (which he has alot of) but the fact that he doesn’t bring it all the time and more time then not he looks good-pretty good when he plays. His ranking is 90 percent of what he might become and 10 percent of his actual production imo.

With that said if he playedf as hard consistantly as Mitch or Shabazz or even half as hard as they do he would easily be number one in a land slide

I told people how good i thought Anthony Bennett from Canada was after seeing and playing against him and even wrote a couple of scouting services telling them how low he was ranked. The answer i usualy got was he wasn’t skilled enough and that he was just a hard worker, that was earlier this summer. Fast forward to now and he is a top 10-15 ranked player instead of 45-55 with a mean post game, major bounce and a deadly long range game(while while standing 6’8 235lbs of muscle). We better watch out because the Future of Canada Olympic basketball looks liek this

    Pango’s
    Kabongo
    Wiggins
    Thompson
    Bennett
    Joseph

After a tremendous spring, Shabazz Muhammad has taken over the No. 1 spot. Andre Drummond, Isaiah, Dajuan Coleman and Mitch McGary round out the new top five.

    Scout.com’s 2012 Top 100
    There’s a new No. 1 in the Scout.com 2012 rankings.

After an impressive spring, Shabazz Muhammad has jumped two enormous and extremely talented big men to take over the top spot.

While both Andre Drummond, who previously held the top spot, and Isaiah Austin had their moments in the spring, Muhammad, a 6-foot-5 strongly built wing prospect, was consistently more dominant than his peers.

Perhaps his best event of the spring was in Long Beach (Calif.) at the Pangos All-American. Muhammad appears more athletic than last year, his jump shot is more consistent and his game is more polished.

Muhammad attributes his improvement to tough workouts and plenty of time in the gym with his father – Ron Holmes.

“I’ve been really working with my dad,” Muhammad told Scout.com. “It is three times a day in the gym and one time in the weight room. We are working every day on jump shots, athleticism, and everything. I am just going to keep doing what I am doing to stay on top.”

With the July evaluation period approaching and a long high school season left, the Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman standout knows there’s still work to do.

“It is a great feeling knowing you are the No. 1 player, but you know you have to be ready for every game because everybody is going to come at you,” he said. “Despite the ranking you have to play at the end of the day.”

Moving Muhammad to No. 1 wasn’t an easy task. In fact, Drummond, a 6-foot-10 big man out of Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas More, had his moments during the spring, including an impressive showing against Austin in California.

Drummond, who is likely the best long-term prospect of the bunch, is a terrific athlete that possesses a great set of hands and impressive touch around the basket. To regain his spot, he will have to become more consistently dominant in the paint.

Austin and Coleman check in at No. 3 and No. 4, while Mitch McGary jumped from outside of the top 10 to the No. 5 prospect in the 2012 class.

McGary built his reputation throughout the spring and showed up in Charlottesville (Va.) ready to play at the NBA Players Association Camp. An athletic post prospect, McGary has improved his offensive game a great deal.

Kaleb Tarczewski, Cameron Ridley, Brandon Ashley, Ricardo Ledo and Rodney Purvis close out the top 10.

The No. 11 prospect – Anthony Bennett – was the biggest riser in the new batch of rankings. Bennett moved up 55 spots. The Henderson (Nev.) Findlay standout is as aggressive a forward as you’ll find in the 2012 group.

After Bennett, Sam Dekker, Glenn Robinson and Adam Woodbury were among the biggest risers. Dekker moved up to No. 42 from No. 79. Robinson jumped 35 spots up to No. 90, while Woodbury rose 21 spots.

There are six new five-star prospects this time around. Bennett joins Devonta

Aran has him projected as the #1 pick in 2013……and I agree 100%!!!  I’ll spare the details of why I think he will be a great player, but I just wanted to point out his FOLLOW THROUGH….if you watch the video, just look at the follow through on his jumper.  It really is a thing of beauty.  Looks to have total control of the ball and his release is the same every time.  After his shoots, leaves the "follow through" extended for an extra second so as to ensure it’s as accurate as possible…..The second video is just 4 minutes of fury and the best mix of him on the net…IMO
