RUDEBOY_ParticipantFormer Villanova guard Scottie Reynolds has signed a 1 year deal to play for Primi Verdi..Reynolds is the first 1st team All American to go undrafted in years..He impressed the Suns enuff with his play on their Summer League team that he got an invite to training camp..But the deal wasnt guaranteed and Reynolds felt he would’ve not gotten playing time….He follows former teammates Mike Nardi & fellow Alum Alan Ray to the Italian League..
Former Louisville guard Edgar Sosa gained a ton of praise playing for the Pistons Summer League team..
Sosa signed a contract with Angelico Biella ..Former Cardinals Taquan Dean & Reese Gaines currently play for that team..Which is 1 of the best in Italy…0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/31/2010 - 9:57pm #366323

ghettosermonParticipantScottie just needs to work on his defense and he can find a spot somewhere on an NBA roster as an Eddie House type.

Meditated StatesParticipantPeople got upset with me when I said he was not going to be in the league this season. As a point guard he needs to work on his playmaking. He looks good on offense making tough shots at times, but was not blowing past anyone. He looked very slow footed on defense by NBA standards. I was not high on him or Sherron Collins making the L. Not saying they suck.

wuteverParticipanti love scottie and root for him since he from my neighborhood…but honestly hes an undersized 2 guard in a PG body. Many people say he lacks the athleticism but hes quite underrated in that part. He may not be NBA standard but the dude can play.

JNixonParticipantSosa was impressive with the Pistons in SL and VERY quietly had a great Senior season at Louisville, and I thought he’d get a chance in training camp to be their 3rd PG. No need for him there though anymore, since they signed Bynum.
Reynolds isn’t a PG, plays iffy D, and takes too many bad shots. I never have liked him as an NBA player, but playing overseas is good for him

mwalling2117ParticipantPintino has earned an NCAA championship, Callipari has earned recruiting violations.

sheltwon3ParticipantIggy, there are too many young point guards in the NBA that unless you are Derick Rose or so hyped up guy, you are the odd man out. You can pay guys like Jason Williams, etc to play for the minimum and give you solid bench production and they have experience. A lot of team don’t have enough time to develop young point guard unless they have high potential. Like someone said, they will develop overseas and then come back to the state when opening arise. The NBA is looking really set at point guard though. Most teams have young point guard with lots of potential starting for them. Some even have back ups that are young and could start on most teams. Only a few team lack a strong point and decent backups but they are solid there and good everywhere else and feel they will be able to draft a point guard when everyone else does not need to.
