So Joe Lacob and Peter Gruber are the new owners of the Golden State Warriors, pending approval from the league. I have a couple of questions.
1) Does anyone know anything about these two guys? Lacob is supposed to have had a minority ownership stake in the Boston Celtics; are there any Celtics fans here who’ve heard something about him?
2) Does anyone know their net worth? I’m hoping against hope that these two guys aren’t like Robert Sarver or Michael Jordan (as in unwilling to pay over the luxury tax), but I can’t find them any listing of their net worth…
My gut reaction is to hate Chris Cohan even more for kicking us even as he was kicked out the door and not selling to Larry Ellison, who is the sixth richest man in the world…but do you guys think Lacob and Gruber can be good owners in the NBA?
