    the AP is reporting that NY Yankees owner George Steinbrenner has passed away at the age of 80.

    He could possibly be the most significant owner of any sports team ever. My prayers are with the steinbrenner family.

    truth is, that is his legacy to alot of people. and he is probably one of the main reasons the yankees are so hated(and loved for that matter). either way there is no denying his legacy as a figure in sports and its sad to see a figure of his stature go.

    He’s a Cleveland guy.

    This has not been a good week for Cleveland and Football starts back up soon so expect more depression. RIP George.
