I was just checkin out the box score of the Kings and Warriors from tonight and decided to look at the stats of the Kings’ players…What you’re about to see, might disturb you

    Power Forwards

Jason Thompson: 6.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 57.1% from the free throw line (8-14)

Patrick Patterson: 6.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 57.1% from the free throw line (8-14)

    Warning: It gets creepier

    Small Forwards

John Salmons: 5.6 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 34% shooting

Derrick Williams: 5.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 37% shooting

    It doesn’t end there…

    Shooting Guards

Marcus Thornton: 9.7 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.9 apg, 37% shooting, 82% free throws

Ben McLemore: 9.1 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.9 apg, 38% shooting, 81% free throws

    Overall, this is just

    A) Super odd

    and

    B) An indication (one of millions) that the Kings franchise is in more disarray than we previously imagined

yeah that is crazy but if it were up to the new management the only players on this list that would be on the team would be Ben Mclemore and Derrick Williams (on the team really only DMC Isiah Thomas and maybe Greivis). I actually like the way that the new management is doing things so far. It takes time to build a title team and the way the Maloof’s destroyed and didn’t care about the team, it might take some time to build that team back up (it might help also if they could get Wiggins or Parker to pair with Ben Mac, D.Will, and DMC also).

I dont understand how this is an indication that the Kings are in disarray… Patterson and Thompson are not really similar. Patrick Patterson is a small 4 that can stretch out the floor and Jason Thompson is more of a effort guy with limited offensive skill. Derrick Williams is an athletic tweener and Salmons is more of a guard/small forward who can shoot and pass decently for his position. Ill give you that Thornton and Mclemore are similar. Just because the stats of all of these players are similar (which I think is most definitely just a coincidence) does not mean that this team is filled with duplicates.
