Craziest game I’ve seen in… I can’t even recall a crazier 4th quarter then what I just witnessed. Boggie with 55 in the comeback win looking like Wilt Jordan out there. Gets ejected and then brought back in. Class post game interview. Just wow.

What happened to Cousins before the mouth guard incident has happened to dominant bigs for as long as I can remember especially with Dwight and Shaq. Difference is a guy like Shaq would physically hurt you in the game and Dwight has been pretty professional about it. He’s too strong and skilled so teams get physical. Did he forget this is a contact sport.

Apparently he was being hacked all night. That last and 1 lay to take the lead he obviously spat his mouth guard at the coach because Stotts had been telling Plumlee and Davis to hack at him and the refs never called a flagrant. But honestly wtf does he expect? By now Boogie should know if you piss off the refs you don’t get calls plain and simple.

He’s lucky he got back into the game he should be suspended. He is like a child and its so embarrassing to say he used to be my favourite player but I just lost sooo much respect for him. Be a man! Somebody has to teach this big crybaby how to be a professional I honestly think he has mental issues at this point. What a loser!

All of my least favorite players are complainers. From Reggie Miller to James Harden. It’s okay to complain when you’re wronged, but Miller was hyper animated complaining about being fouled on a jumper when he and I both know no one touched him. Harden is almost as animated, but actually causes the foul. Infuriating as a fan.

Cousins gets a bit of a pass for me. I don’t think he’s mentally okay. When he complains about a foul that didn’t happen, he might actually believe he got fouled. He gets cornered a lot by the press and he’s this big oaf who doesn’t get how to give a measured response. He wants to fight (the same fight that allows him to play well). While it probably seems like he’s egging people on, in all reality, people are just bullying someone who doesn’t know how to respond. And the more of a rise people get out of him, the more people push. The internet is where the mob congregates and it spills out into the stands.

This incident completely overshadowed a spectacular performance. Two negatives can never make a positive though and when he reacts more negative to every negative thing that happens to him he’s just asking for it. There’s no conspiracy Boogie! When you can be a professional you will start to get calls and start to get the NBA to invest in you as one of the leagues more marketable players but you can’t pass the torch to someone that’s gonna burn down the f-ing building you big dummy!

Kinda sad boogie is just wasting away in Sac. I would love to see him on a contender in a huge playoff game. The way some of those playoffs game can slow down Boogie would be perfect.

I’m a firm believer that this attitude would go away if he wasn’t in the worst situation ever, I think even I would go crazy if I was one of the best players in the league and I was stuck in Sacramento wasting away. He obviously was fiery at Kentucky but I watched every game and he never just went berserk on people. He needs Boston and Brad Stevens just as much as they need him

Baby Huey had his moments with Calipari, He certainly didnt throw as many temper tantrums at Kentucky because he knew it would hurt his draft stock.. Hes always been emotionally stunted, He could have been the number one pick had he not had a reputation for being a Cancer..

Early in Cousins career it wouldve been wise for the Kings to trade for a Hardnose SOB player to keep Cousins accountable, a guy like Zach Randolph comes to mind.. He would relate to Cousins and coach him on how to deal with situations appropriately.  Cousins needed to be taken down a notch, now hes just becoming a bully because nobody has the balls to step up to him.

I think Brad Stevens and even Isaiah Thomas would be good for him and keep him (relatively) in check. Who do the Kings have to do that, Rudy Gay? Arron Afflalo? There’s no one and nothing for him there

I think the Lakers would be a better fit for DeMarcus, make Metta World Peace an Asst Coach and I guarantee he would be able to mentor Cousins

I like that too. Plus, Luke is a player’s coach and I think Cousins would like that

I think what is more remarkable is that the Kings are currently sitting 8th in the West !!!! I didn’t see that one coming….

We often have a moan about DMC being immature or maybe just a stats padder but he has been hugely impressive in games recently dragging the Kings back from big deficits on a couple of occasions. Statistically he is right up there with the very best big men in the league, if he is finally starting to mature then he will be an even better player. The guy is a twice All NBA 2nd Teamer so it shows how good he is.

I’m a bit surprised that Dave Joerger hasn’t asked his long time collegue Lionel Hollins to assist him at the Kings given they worked together at Memphis for several years and Lionel is well known for being an excellent coach of big men.

I agree with the point made above that someone like MWP would be a good mentor type for DMC, often it needs someone who had issues themselves to help channel a similar type personality. Rasheed Wallace could be available and would be a good option.
