 Well, they would get the 7th which has tons of value pick plus likely draft Exum at 3. This has been said a lot but MCW is not as good as his inflated numbers and he’s already about 23. Obviously he’s proven and Exum isn’t, but I actually like the move a lot for both teams.

 MCW won RotY in a terrible draft class year. I’m a firm believer of selling while the price is sky high if it’s the right choice. If the Sixers can get the 7th pick to go along with the 10th and 3rd then they can really add some talent to their team or make a package of some sorts to move up and get Wiggins.

 Respectfully disagree. Nash is will just be a salary dump at the end of the year and Young hasn’t been in the Sixers future for a while now. Also MCW being one of their best players is also a testament to how terrible the Sixers are than he is.

 exactly haha why are people acting like Nash is a factor at all in this deal. If anything he can mentor Exum though. The one thing I do agree with is that they can probably get more for Thad but he’s not a part of their plans and the 7th pick in this draft is a great commodity

Where did all this MCW hate come from? I saw a special player last year who played extremely well or even better than a lot of NBA point guards on a nightly basis, hit big time shots in crucial situations, and all those triple doubles/near triple double or "inflated numbers" as one poster analyzed. 6’6 PG who can do everything….  I have been following this draft so closely for the entire last year. We tanked the whole season. Got through the lottery with 3 and 10. Had a legit shot at Wiggins with a fall back position of a pure star in Jabari Parker.

 I understand it makes sense for the lakers but I wouldn’t give up on MCW. He still won rookie of the year regardless of the team. Talent is there, I wouldn’t trade him away for the 7th pick. Unless you believe exum will be better I don’t think they need to do it

I thought this was stupid and made up, but multiple sources (however reliable) have claimed there is at least smoke to the deal.  As a Lakers fan I hope this isn’t true.  MCW is nice and all but I want to draft someone to call my own! And I don’t want two years of Thad Young.  But mostly just because I want to draft someone and watch them develop.  

From a financial stand point it also doesn’t make sense from the Lakers stand point who supposedly want to be players in free agency.

I wish Hinkie was our GM.

I would rather have the 7th pick than MCW.  I’m not sold that he is as good as he showed last year.  Clearly if the 76ers were to give him up for the 7th pick than they aren’t either.

Their best bet in all reality is Exum, but the Sixers know that MCW and Exum combo would not work well in the backcourt so the Sixers look to trade MCW knowing that the market for him would be pretty good. But I think the Lakers can make the deal look a little more pleasing to the Sixers, then a washed up Nash, and the 7th pick. If this deal does go down and the 10th pick is traded to the Lakers, then I think the Lakers would use the pick on Zach LaVine.
