Wow I’ll admit I would be kinda suprised if Denver did this, but I like it for my favorite team the Jazz!
Jazz Starting Line-Up with this trade:
PG Deron Williams
SG J.R. Smith
SF Ronnie Brewer/Andrei Kirilenko
PF Paul Millsap
C Mehmet OkurBench:
Thomas
Brewer/Kirilenko
Korver
Maynor
Koufos
Harpring
Fesenko
SutonI think that team could contend for a Championship hopefully!
Thoughts?

dwat4444Participantno way denver does this. it’s completely lopsided toward’s Utah. They get SMith and Thomas for Boozer? As my favorite ghetto girls would put it-“Oh Hellll Nah”

gatorheelsParticipantDenver must be getting some cash &or draft picks. They aren’t just going to give away JR. This is a great deal for the Jazz.

dwat4444ParticipantUtah has NY’s first round pick so I bet they give that up or more likely their own

GoodbyeChandlerParticipantid climb mt everest, swim across the pacific ocean and jump over the grand canyon for this deal. gator heels is right. denver must be getting something outside always injured jerome james and cj miles.

baller03this trade if the Nuggets get a first round pick also.

SwatLakeCityParticipantWow, now this is the trade I have been waiting for. Smith can play D and can shoot, would be great alongside Brewer and Dwill, and Thomas will be a great backup to Millsap. But gatorheels is right in order for Denver to accept, either the Bulls or the Jazz would have to give up their first round pick of the 2010 draft. If this trade goes through, I might calling KOC very smart, and Jazz fans had better start bowing their heads in appreciation for being able to wait awhile to trade Booze. This trade had better work, or else we are stuck with Booze, unless the Heat is willing to offer us Beasley.

SwatLakeCityParticipantbad news, I tried the trade on the ESPN’s trade machine and it doesn’t work. Denver has to give 2 million or something like that. but here is a way it could work:http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mo9mjl (Chicago could give up D. Nelson instead Roberson to Utah and the trade would also work, but I think Chicago would like to see what they have in Nelson, Roberson is more possible since he has more experience than Nelson does) Of course in order for Denver to accept, Utah or Chicago would have to offer up their first round pick of the 2010 draft(probably Utah’s pick, since it is a lottery pick.) This trade had better go down.

SwatLakeCityParticipantOk link does not work not quite sure why, but in the end, Chicago gives Tyrus Thomas and Anthony Roberson to Utah, Utah gives Carlos Boozer to Chicago, and CJ Miles to Denver. And Denver gives up JR Smith to Utah, receives Jerome James from Chicago, and gives Renaldo Balkman to Chicago, and also receives a first round pick in the 2010 draft from with Chicago or Utah, probably Utah since it is a Lottery pick.

NYK2010Participantexactly Denver won’t do this only if they can a guy like Rip Hamilton will they move JR Smith. That pick won’t mean as much looks like the Knicks might sign Lee and Robinson for one year and possibly Sessions if he wants to start.
Knicks definately have a good shot at the playoffs.0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/01/2009 - 3:42pm #194337
SwatLakeCityParticipantEven if Sessions and Lee are signed, the Knicks won’t make the playoffs. They may have Sessions, Hughes, Chandler/Gallinari, Lee, but Curry isn’t the center they need especially since he is injury prone, and the Knicks don’t have anybody that can fill in at that position. Lee could do it but he is small for a Center at 6’9, and Hill isn’t ready to start yet. Besides Hughes is old, and can’t perform like he used to. Also in order to make the playoffs you need depth, which is what the knicks lack. There are only two guys that could be considered depth players, Gallinari and Duhon. The Knicks don’t have a chance against the Cavs, Magic, Wizards, Celtics, Raptors, Bulls, Pacers, and possibly the Bucks or the Sixers. I say the Knicks are a late lottery team. Somewhere around 10-14 pick, which could land Evan Turner, Devin Ebanks, Craig Brackins, Willie Warren, Greg Monroe, or Patrick Patterson. Any one of those guys could work for Denver to accept. The Knicks are a lottery team and will be until next years offseason, when they could possibly land Lebron James.

j1232eParticipantare signing backup players to possibly start for them. No way the knickerbockers make the playoffs. Unless a boozer for lee happens. Lee is not a quality starter in this league. Lee has been fortunate to play with the lousy knicks, which make his stats look good.

D HampParticipantDwilljazz8…..J.R. Smith plays D? Really, cause I’ve been a Nuggets fan my whole life! I haven’t seen it. Who did Smith shut down?
Dhamp…the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

j1232eParticipantIf coach sloan let cj shoot as much as coach karl lets jr shoot their stats would be very simmilar!

jordanrose13ParticipantThey released Roberson, Nelson, and Linton Johnson, so your idea wouldn’t work.
