OldSkoolBasketballParticipantPORTLAND (AP) — Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy will miss the next three games and the All-Star game with a right hamstring injury.
Roy has already missed 11 of the last 12 games.
He was originally hurt in a Jan. 13 game against Milwaukee, then aggravated the injury on Jan. 20 at Philadelphia.
Roy, in his fourth season with the Blazers, made the All-Star team as a reserve for the third straight season.
He leads the Blazers with 23.1 points per game.
This unfortunate for Roy and the Blazernation. No all star repping Portland. Oh well as long as he’s healthy after the break its all good. I’m guessing Ellis would replace Roy.

aarondsonixfanParticipantSo now there are 2 spots in the West to fill. One should be Kaman, and the other should be Aaron Brooks.

nateoak10ParticipantIt was a fair debate on Billups or Ellis but now who can argue that Brooks is better than Ellis? If Brooks makes it its cause of his team and has nothing to do with his play. Ellis FTW

butidonthavemoneynateoak isn’t going to like this, but I want Brooks to make it. Houston is the only good team in the West without a rep in the all-star game.
Ellis probably will make it, but that really isn’t fair. Either him or Kaman.
Don’t count out Boozer and Gasol. They will be considered.

nateoak10Participantunfair is the league leader last year in 3’s isnt in the 3point contest. Ellis shouldnt be punsihed cause his team is incapable of winning like Houston. Ellis is better than Brooks flat out

butidonthavemoneyI disagree. I would take Brooks over Ellis for my team anyday.
People (non NBA fanatics) don’t want to see Anthony Morrow in the shootout. Billups, Pierce, Frye, Gallo, Cook and Curry. They don’t just take the top 6 shooters in the NBA. They have ratings to think about.
