In my country of residence, betting on sports isn’t just legal.. its encouraged.

Rookie of the year betting is available and I’m thinking this is a good time to throw on a wager as the odds are juicy. For every $1 bet…

    Parker $4.33

    Wiggins $5.00

    Nerlens: $6.50

    Randle $8.00

    Exum $9

    Mcdermott/ Smart: $11.00

    Gordon: $15

    Peyton: $19

    Napier: $21

Everyone else: $30+ (ask me for a quote)

If this was your money…who would you go with?

Parker looks the safest bet but my hard earned will be on smart with the assumption rondo is traded during the year to free up playing time and getting assets.

I would put money on Parker, with maybe a few bucks on Exum. Wiggins and Randle wont touch the ball enough to score much. Noel prob won’t score too much either

I’d go with Noel if I thought he’d play 25-30 minutes all year, but that won’t happen for fear of injury. I thought maybe Randle until the Lakers got Boozer. Parker will be the go to guy on his team, but I think he’s gonna miss a whole lot of shots the 1st half of the year.

I too think it will be Exum, partially because of the razzle-dazzle style of play.

Yeah I agree, McDermott will be the better/more important rookie with a higher scoring average on the Bulls.

Mirotic is so unfavoured by the bookmakers that he isn’t even listed. Even Mitch McGary and CJ Wilcox are 100-1

Not saying or predicting he will be rookie of the year nor am I saying summer league will transfer to regular season but I think a case could be made for McDermott. He has a chance to be a starter (I could see him starting as 3 appears to be Bulls 1 open starting spot) on a top 1 or 2 team in the East. Will not have Parker’s stats but a starter on top team will carry some voter weight.

UniBet have Lavine at 76-1 to win ROTY. I have $5 on him. Low risk but very high reward. I know he is stuck behind Martin at the two and Rubio at the one but I honestly believe he will impress in his first year and see increasing minutes. It isn’t like JJ barea and Martin are the future, so you could see them favouring him to help out the point or get minutes away from Martin or Shved.

I am one who thinks he will be a top 5 player In this draft, a lot of things could happen during the year but 76-1 on him is nuts.

He is my roughy, but if I had to put down $100 on anyone it would be Parker or McBuckets for safer bets.

If Kevin Martin ends up being included in a Kevin Love trade.  As it stands right now it looks like that will not happen if Love goes to the Cavs, but if things change I can see LaVine getting a ton of minutes and would guess the odds hop into more of the 20-30 range, still making it a long shot, but your bet gains incredible value (assuming UniBet would not adjust the odds, which I do not believe they can once the bet is locked in).

Unless of course, Love is traded to GSW for Klay Thompson… in which case Lavine will see his minutes greatly decrease.

I think the Elfrid Payton 19-1 odds would be where I’d throw my money. He’s going to get a lot of minutes – and he’s a proven triple-double threat

He’s going to get more balls thrown at him than Kim Kardashian!

The guy may lead the league in blocks & STEALS per game in his first season! He has a great combination of quickness and length… in 4-5 years if he gains a normal ammount of weight I’m putting my money on him for DPOY. And… this year if he continues his aggresivnes and improved FT%- I’m going with him for ROY.

Smart could be a value bet whose odds would tumble if Rondo was moved on.

I wonder what odds you’d get for the Greek Freak as MIP or do a double him to win MIP and Parker ROY.

My money is going on Payton at $19. Not that I expect him to win the award, but he presents the best value for your money. I expect Parker or Noel to win it in real life, but Payton pays out about 3X more. Why not take a chance on an athletic kid who is going to be starting without a good backup behind him and will be playing for an awful team(Gordon, Payton, and Oladipo can’t shoot and Big Baby, Jameer, and Afflalo are gone from last year’s team that was 3rd worst in the league)- similar to the Michael Carter-Williams scenario last year where he will put up big, empty stats.

If Afflalo didn’t go to the Nuggets I would have put my money on Gary Harris. I guessed the ROY last year with MCW but that wasn’t that hard to predict. My favorites this year in order would go Parker,Wiggins, Randle, Exum then McDermott.

Not even Sam Hinkie saw MCW winning the ROY last year, and it wasn’t hard to predict?  Tell me fortune teller… who should I put my money on this year?
