Ricky Rubio; will start from day 1, and already has pro experience, should flourish in the NBA game.

I think Vesely is gonna have a shot at this one… he has been called the most NBA ready of all the International players and looks like he can run. Nice fit in Washington and he seems ready to me. The easy choice is Ricky Rubio…. he has another person in the running with D. Williams…. Let’s hope Kemba and Jimmer translate last season over to the League.

I think Ricky will make a impact for the Wolves, esp running the point and getting assist around 6 assist per game, but he wont score enough. I doubt he averages 12+ points per game.

Rookie of the Years, usually score around or over 16-18 per game. Any rookie scoring 20+ will win easily, see Blake Griffin. But I doubt this rookie class will have that.

That’s why I think Kyrie will win ROY. Ave: 17 pts, 6 asst, 4 rebs, 1 stl per game.

irving i think will win it by default, hes already the man in CLE, he has no one on his team, hes gonna have the ball all the time, take any shot he wants, it might not be pretty sometimes this year for him, but he will take enough shots to put up the numbers…

runner up-marshon brooks: hes going to compliment deron williams really well, i think he is the starter day 1, hes in competition with Anthony Morrow, morrow is a solid 6th man dead-eye shooter off the bench, while brooks is a solid defender, and deron will only make brooks a better scorer

Honestly, if Wall and Vesley develope a chemistry instantly and Andray Blatche gets traded, this guy will put up some goood numbers. He’s one of the most all around players amongst the rookie class. But my obvious choices would be Irving or Williams because they might get the green light from day one. Still, Vesley will be up there IMO.

Also, Johnny Chill – whose that chick in your picture. I need to do some "research" lol

    My Top 5..

    1. Enes Kanter

    2. Jimmer Fredette

    3. Kyrie Irving

    4. Bismarck Biyombo

    5. Derrick Williams

I think it will take Rubio a couple years to get adjusted.

If Sac. doesn’t pick up another point guard during the off season, then I like Jimmer as ROY.  Rumor has Sac. looking at Brooks (Suns), RFA..I don’t think Burks will get the playing time needed to be ROY.  As a Jazz fan, I’d love to see either Kanter or Burks but I don’t see it happening. BB would be my dark horse.

Yesterday I posted my two rookie teams. I had Williams as the ROY with Kemba as the sleeper.
I think Rubio will lead the rookies in assists. Kanter should do well too. Jimmer will put up nice stats.
I have Vesely as a first team all-rookie. He’s a good finisher who should score fairly well and get blocks plus a few rebounds.

    Rookie stats:

    1st team

    Derrick Williams: 16 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1 block, 1 steal
Kemba Walker: 16 points, 4.5 assists, 3 rebounds, 1.5 steals
Enes Kanter: 14 points, 7 rebounds, 1.5 assists
    Jimmer: 13.5 points, 3.5 assists, 2 rebounds
    Jan Vesely: 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 1.5 assists, 1 steal

    2nd team

Kyrie Irving: 12 points, 5.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1 steal
Ricky Rubio: 9 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, 1.5 steals
Brandon Knight: 13.5 points, 4 assists, 2.5 rebounds
Alec Burks: 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal
Klay Thompson: 11 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2 assists

    Others:

    Kawhi Leonard: 9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2 assists, .5 steals, .5 blocks
Tristan Thompson: 9 points, 6 rebounds
Bismack Biyombo: 6.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks
    Markeiff Morris: 10.5 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, .5 steals, .5 blocks
Marshon Brooks: 11 points, 2.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds
Chris Singleton: 7.5 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist
Norris Cole: 7 points, 2.5 assists
Josh Harrellson: 4 points, 4.5 rebounds, .5 steals
Shelvin Mack: 7 points, 2 assists, 1.5 rebounds
Josh Selby: 6.5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists
Iman Shumpert: 5 points, 2 rebounds, 1.5 assists
Jon Diebler: 4.5 points, .5 rebounds, .5 assists
Jimmy Butler: 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds
Kyle Singler: 5 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist

It has to be Rubio. If the Wolves win anything close to 40 game then he wins it for sure, disregaurding any outlier player. Not only will he be putting up decent stats, but he will probably get a lot of the credit for the Wolves turn around if it does indeed happen.

I feel like the player to contribute the quickest and be most effective is Darius Morris. He fits the direct need for a team, the Lakers are desperately in need of playmaking and youth at the PG position. Morris can do both things!

Memphis: I would love to see our(Jazz) two rookies get those numbers, I kinda doubt is though, hx has shown rookies don’t get the playing time they need to put those kind of numbers up in Utah. Corbin is a prodagy of Sloans , so I’m not sure things will change, I hope they do, I hope the rookies get major minutes so they can develop but I’m not so sure it will happen.    I think Jimmer will get more assists than you think, I think he will try to show he can be a true point and be a better distributor than people think.
