Joe Johnson out through All-Star break (also opens a spot in 3 point shoot out) and Rondo is taking his spot. Everyone cool with this or are there still some who think another Hawk (ie. Josh Smith) should have taken his spot? I for one am cool with Rondo getting the spot. Josh has been playing well, but not as well as Rajon.

seriously? how can the NBA possibly keep snubbing Josh? tbh Josh should have got the spot over Joe.

How could it not be Josh Smith. The man means more to that team’s success than Joe Johnson does right now

Jodie Meeks or Brandon Rush should take his spot in the 3 point shootout. I thought both of them deserved to be in it anyway.

Im ok with Rondo getting in, he’s played great this year. The problem is that there’s now two players from a team that’s below .500 on the all star team. Thats kind of lame. Josh Smith might not get in ahead of Rondo but he’s played a heck of a lot better than Paul Pierce this year… thats whose spot he should have had originally.

Rondo is fine. You can’t really argue with it, especially since in practice the All-Star position is also partly a reward for past performance and not just this year.

Rondo deserves to be in there too, but not getting Josh Smith in there is ridiculous.

I think everyone would rather see Josh Smith in there for the theatrics but they did it by the positioning, which I never like, I’m just glad they didn’t really insult us by putting Lin in there. Rondo deserves it.

Too bad, I like Rajon Rondo and all but Josh Smith deserved it. The East could have had the perfect all-star team lineup with Rose, Wade, LeBron, Josh Smith, and Dwight Howard.

I guess the East team needed a backup point guard.

I don’t mind Rondo but I felt like it was gonna be either him or Pierce, not both. A sub .500 team does not deserve 2 all stars when its neither of them are having "great" seasons.

A spot is open in the Three Point contest? Let Budinger(Or as Shaq likes to call him, Budabinger)  move from the Dunk Contest to the Shootout, I bet you accidently applied for the Dunk contest instead of the Three point contest. Now we can get Lebron in this………….

I’m still baffled as to how Paul Pierce made it.  Sub-.500 team has two all-stars?  I’m okay with Rondo making it but I would have rather seen Josh Smith.  Pierce got in as a lifetime award, most likely his final all-star game.
