Paris, we have a problem. The French National Team who will play the Olympic Games in London in the summer, lost two important pieces in the last hours: Rodrigue Beaubois and Ian Mahinmi.
Both players won’t be in London.

The first was ‘asked’ by the Mavs not to participate in the campaign with the National Team after the injury he suffered two summers ago while the second one because he is negotiating a new deal in the NBA with the Mavs.

Last news from French is that Ali Traore has a knee injury and is out indefinitely while Joakim Noah needs three more weeks to recover from the ankle injury he suffered in the NBA playoffs.

It’s not actually a massive hit to them other than depth truth be told. Sure it would be nice to have Beaubois speed and attack ability but he was just a backup for Parker. Nando De Colo and even Andrew Albicy have more international experience and they will suffice as backups to Parker and Batum. I like their lineup sliding Batum to the 3 and starting De Colo instead of starting Gelabale at the 3. As far as Mahimi again not a big loss truthfully. He was just an energy big off the bench and they already have that in very seasoned Florent Pietrus as well as Ali Traiore. It actually opens up more minutes for Kevin Seraphin who is a better player. A bigger loss is if Mickael Pietrus doesn’t play due to injury.

Yes but Noah is not 100% sure he’ll be able to play… and TP has now 7 days of rest after a fight in a club (in NYC) where he was hurt in the eye.

And yes Ali "Bomayé" Traoré is hurt and shouldn’t be able to play.

Mike Pietrus won’t be there. He has not played for the national team for a long time now (always an issue : injury, contract… BS…).
