Chilbert arenasParticipantMy close friend has been telling me we’d see someone do this some day soon, he always suggested Deandre, I never thought we’d see it in our lifetime in the NBA again… I was wrong.. Big ups for bringing it back

Robb_CParticipantIf Shaq swallowed his pride and shot underhanded at the line.. He couldve easily been in the top 3 all time scoring..

frogmanParticipantI don’t know why everyone thinks ft% will skyrocket if a poor ft shooter goes underhand. You still have to make the shot and put in the hours and hours of practice.

ChewyParticipantcamp is that he works his butt off on FTs in practice. They also say he makes close to 70% of them in practice. If you were to believe the players (which I understand if you don’t) then work ethic and practice isn’t the issue. The issue (according to all bad big men FT shooters) is their hands are too big and the regular shooting form doesn’t work for them.
I wish more players cared about scoring points more than whether they looked cool.

binetParticipantMost of the poor FT shooters have gigantic biceps, triceps and shoulders. This amount of muscle first interfere a lot with the shooting form second makes it harder to dose when shooting from a close range like free throws.
Changing the form changes a lot in that regard, with different muscles intervening (more in the wrists) and a longer shot.
