Jordan has still got game. My cousin went to Jordans camp a year ago and he said they all played a game that featured jordan kobe durant al thornton(my cousin) and many other nba players. He said Jordan had like 25 and that he still could back down guys and give them the killer fadeaway. That jus seemed amazing 2 me becuz i thought when nba players retired they gave up the game. but i shouldve known better

Gary Payton and Karl Malone is probable still in great shape… and I met Shawn Kemp the other day and in his own mind he still thinks he can play.. but he’s fat now lol

Call me crazy but I think Dennis Rodman could still board with the best of them. Everytime I see that guy on some various TV program he looks just like he is in the same shape he was a decade ago.

I think David Robinson can still come in and do his thing. Alonzo Morning should also be ok once he rehabs his injury. I also agree with Karl Malone, Chris Webber, and Reggie Miller. As for the guys that retired in the past ten years least capable of returning are Patrick Ewing and Charles Barkley.

Something tells me John Stockton could probably still be a starting PG on a lot of teams, haven’t seen him since he retired as he keeps a low profile. But as consistent as he was over his career I don’t seem him losing his game that quickly.

This guy can definitely still play. He won’t be able to guard on the perimeter like in his prime, but is still quicker than half the NBA PFs. Could potentially still create mismatches with his shooting and driving.

you guys are really overestimating how well they retired players could still play. Many years away from the game takes it’s toll. Barkley…?, Magic still an all-star…? Ewing…? please. And guys like Stockton, Payton, and DRobinson were on there last legs when they retired, hard to see them still playing.

Guys retire for a reason, especially guys that really love basketball. I really don’t think any of the great basketball players mentioned above can still play. As far as shooters go, once a shooter always a shooter. Reggie Miller was great, but I doubt he could do much else. If he could, he would have went to Boston the year they were recruiting him. Of all the names mentioned, I could honestly see Rodman being able to play. It would probably be a limited role of the bench, but I think he would still be a good rebounder and a good defender. I think Keith Van Horn could still play. He is only 33. He was never a great player and would still get torched on defense, but he’s better than a lot of the tall shooters that get drafted year after year and never make a team. I also think Michael Doleac can still play. He’s only 32. Not sure why he wasn’t playing last year. I would have agreed with Abdur Rahim as well, but he retired because of knee problems and that’s one of those things that can only get worse.
