I hope this doesn’t happen because he’s been an instant hit.

Sources are telling me coach Igor told him management is leaning toward Ayton and that this is a move to not go to the Kings.

I wouldn’t blame him if that’s actually the case.

Have you ever noticed that your "sources" are almost always wrong?

That makes a lot of sense. I don’t blame him. My guess is he is hoping to fall to Mavs.

kings fans are tired of this stuff, understand?

There is nothing about him not wanting to go to the nba or the Kings just yet. He’s in the midst of trying to lead his euro team

LOL it’s completely understandable. You all had IT, Cousins, and Whiteside on the same roster.

Cousins was going to be a talent no matter where he went, not even Sacramento could mess that up. But as soon as IT and Whiteside go elsewhere they blossom. Hell, even Stauskas showed he could play outside of Sacramento. That’s speaks to the organization, which we know is trash.

Wait until Stein, Skal, and Malachi get out of town. Guaranteed at least 1 and probably 2 of them do well once they leave. Even Papigiannis might have some game (talk about a head scratching pick lol).

I didn’t even address the poor selections they’ve made over the past years. My point: the criticism of the Kings and players not wanting to go there is 100 PERCENT WELL DESERVED.

For you or anyone that’s given a plus for you

        Don’t be calling anything trash

Kings fans have the right to root for a positive product on the court without any nonsense

Mentioning past deeds that went on under previous coaches/GMs points to nothing

dude clearly disrespected the organization without regards to the fan base

We’ve had enough of it. It’s the state of the world we live in/this board that that many people wouldn’t have support for Kings fans over bullies on the issue

I’m not hating on the fans. I think you all have some of the best true basketball fans in the world.

But PLEASE don’t act like players want to come to Sacramento and don’t dread being drafted there. This is no secret. And I don’t think any of the actions I mentioned were under past management — it’s still the current management.

Divac was responsible for most if not all of that. Know your facts before you get emotional. I do feel bad for the fans though.

Does Bagley or Jackson become the pick? I personally think Bagley would be a nice pick for Sac Town. Pair him up with Fox and FM3 for the next 5 years, maybe get something out of Harry G at some point, and start from there.

He was asked if this is his last 2 games in the press conference before Final four in Europe. He can’t say yes in such situation, it will be an insult to the fanbase of RM, never mind his teammates and coach even if they knew he is leaving.
Diplomatic answer, no more no less IMHO

IF the rumor is true that his reason for pondering withdrawal is to not play for the Kings, Divac better trade the pick now before it loses value.

Even if he changes his mind and declares after all, I think this notion has already created friction between him and Sacramento.

Or, on the other hand, it may also be possible that he and his agent are just trying to stir the pot for Phoenix.

This is a total non-story. What else would he have said? This is the STANDARD response in all of sports. If anything he has shown he knows how to talk to NBA reporters. . .since he’ll be drafted this year.

In 2018 Saric was mocked at 8 by most and then just before the draft he signed for 2 years in Turkey causing him to drop to 12th.

So the question how far would Doncic fall if he pulls a Dario and indicates that he plans on staying in Euro?

All Doncic said in interview is that theres two games to go and he isnt sure if these will be his last 2 games for Real Madrid. Hes 19. He didnt say hes never leaving Spain and wont play in the NBA. If teams skip him because they cant wait one or two years then they deserve to be in the lottery. If hes the best available player for your franchise – as Larry Bird was, David Robinson, Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons – you draft him and you get him when you get him. You will likely even get another lotto pick the year after. Its different if he says hes never coming, like Fran Vasquez.

Might hurt his stock a little if it’s true, but he may be worth waiting on

There is no way Doncic should fall past Sacramento at 2. They have been in the lottery for 10 years in a row. Doncic is only 19. Even if he plays they will be in the lottery next year – and they dont have their pick. It may be two more full seasons before the can draft another lottery pick to add to this #2, so its irrelevant if they have to wait for him. They just need to get both 2018 and 2020 picks right. They need massive improvement from Fox, Mason, Bogdanovic and Labissiere and hope Giles plays really well as a rookie. Id try and ship out virtually everyone else on the roster to get back multiple picks in 2019 or better still, an extra one in this draft as its really deep. Surely Hield, Jackson and WCS can get them some picks back.

As I’m concerned your one of those who gave a plus to the disrespectful post above, I’m concerned about everyone on this thread now, but Hield is a good player. He’s not going anywhere

GET OUT OF YOUR FEELINGS! Everything I said was true.

Stop being overly sensitive and accept your franchise deserves the criticism it receives and MORE. Hopefully the future will be better for the Kings, but stop living in a fairy tale. I stated the facts. Move on.

     My guess is the following:

Suns weren’t blown away by the Kid and think his ceiling is lower than Ayton or another player.Or it could be they don’t think he will fit well with Booker. Honestly they were probably hoping Ball was going to fall to them last draft, as a Booker and Ball backcourt would be fun to watch.

The other fact could be they could see Ayton as one of 3 players: D-robinson(spurs),Patrick Ewing(knicks) or Joel Embiid(76ers) meaning the ceiling is higher in their eyes and a better overall fit/need for them.

The most obvious is Igor(who coached him on the national team) has let him know which way the suns are leaning and its not Luka’s way. So he is trying to make sure the Hawks and Kings don’t take him and let him slide to a better organization or better city (at least in his eyes)

But my guess is he is trying to focus on the game at hand and that is all it probably is.

Money. Allen Crabbe made $19 million his season. Other guys in that range are Evan Turner, Chandler Parsons, Ian Mahimi. Doncic will enter the NBA asap to work his way to a max contract. Only reason why he didnt already enter the NBA draft and start his rookie tier contract is because he wasnt eligible. Real Madrid’s season hasnt ended so why would he talk about leaving.
