gotta agree with the move here.  time to rebuild the franchise and get a good idea of what they have, giving their young players some playing time.  i think olynyk, sully and the 2 picks will provide a good nucleus.  bring in some more assets by moving rondo and green and wait out the contracts of bass, anthony and likely expiring contracts in the rondo/green trades.

Based on the info, tell Rondo to pack his bags and choose a spot. I would love to see Rondo traded to the Rockets, I know Harden likes to have/need the ball to score but when he cant get it done Boston needs a floor general and somebody to get Dwight the ball and others. So give Boston Jeramy Lynn, a first rounder and 2second rounders, money and bout call it even. Or Rondo could end up in NY if Melo stays, IDK, but those are just my thoughts

I did’t read the article yet, but I thought this might happen if they couldn’t get Love. I suspect the Kings will make a play for Rondo with the draft pick they own also Ben McClemore with other assets perhaps.

This would be awesome if you are a celtics fan.  Kings will always be in the celler with the organization they are currently running so gettting McClemore and future draft picsk for Rondo would be awesome so long as they aren’t too protected!

The Kings have let it be known they are trying to win now, and put out the 8th pick is for trade for a proven vet. This has been rumored around Boston for awhile now that the Kings really want Rondo.

You think it’s possible they use Romdo to get Love. Like what if they draft Embiid, either trade up or he slips. Then trade Rondo to the Kings, for, realistically, McLemore, the #8 pickvand next year’s 1st rounder. Now you can trade McLemore, Sullinger and #8 for Love, a better package than Golden State’s. No point guard? Well, let’s sign and trade for Bledsoe. Doesn’t look like Phoenix wants to match a max contract, and they’d actually be getting someone useful and young on their team.

Too many variables for that to happen. The Celtics can up their offer by adding more or better picks, but I really don’t know if they should give up that much for K Love.

I think they should trade him regardless. His contract ends next year, and I wouldn’t want to pay north of 14 million for a 30 year old PG, fresh off an ACL tear, who can’t space the floor.

Let’s say Warriors and Wolves finish the Love-to-Oakland deal. If Boston trades Rondo to the Knicks (who have previously show interest), would ‘Melo opt in?

Knicks trade Iman, Hardaway, 2024, 2026, 2028 draft picks for Rondo….

The knicks dont have the assets to get anyone unless the Celtics want to trade for Amare whose contract is a year shorter than Wallace’s I think.
