BenAgent0ParticipantAccording to Chad Ford, Anthony Bennett has gained 18 pounds due to his inability to workout.

BenAgent0ParticipantI don’t think this is that big of a deal, but it may cause some teams to become reluctant. Bennett was never the leanest guy either and his work ethic is questionable.
Interesting situation, to say the least.

Bosnian-Bobcats-FanParticipantDon’t think it’s a big deal…with the injury, inability to workout all that….i’m sure he’ll lose it when he gets better

Moon RiverParticipantChad Ford was really down playing the weight gain as well. Everyone is in damage control until the draft is over.

slepchorParticipantWell he looked pretty chubby during the season, so I guess he’s around 6’7-265? Everyone is slipping, good for my man Steven Adams haha

FutureNBAGMParticipantCan we just skip this draft and transfer this class into next years draft or something? This draft is starting to make the 2000 class look great and none of the guys have even PLAYED yet.

hylandptParticipantYou don’t know the outcome of this draft. Wait 4-5 years until you compare this draft class to 2000.

IndianaBasketballParticipantHe had surgery on his *shoulder*, not his knees or back.
This is not an excuse for gaining 18 lbs.

SiggyParticipantI agree. A shoulder injury is no excuse to not work out.
Looking at his body type its easy to see him having the natural proclivity to gaining weight if he’s not on top of his game.
Combine that with his tendency to get injured and you could get a fat ass in the making.
Oh and he also has asthma. So factor that into the equation.0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/24/2013 - 7:37am #804506

Memphis MadnessParticipantIt must have been his “pork shoulder”.

BasketballJunkie224Participanthmm i feel like bazz was in a similar situation and now it looks as if he has boucned back a little. Not saying bazz is what everyone expected but he brought the weight down to a respectful number…I believe Bennett will do the same,,besides the man is a workhorse..as soon as he is better he will be back in shape in a short period of time

Meditated StatesParticipantKid wants his money. He will work hard after he is drafted. He worked hard already wich is why he is a lottery pick. Bennett if he stays healthy is going to be very good. Teams want him to fall.

RafterParticipantNoel said he’s up to around 216 and claims that it’s “good weight” in addition Cav doctors say his knee is “perfect” which caught me a little off-guard considering how grotesque his knee looked.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe look of Noel’s knee scared me, but I read that Dr. James Andrews performed his surgery.
Dr. James Andrews is THE BEST when it comes to reconstructive knee surgery, so I feel a lot better about Noel’s situation. At least about how the surgery was done, methods that were taken, etc, etc.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantGuys will do anything to not play for the BobCats
I think a lot of this stuff is posturing, he does seem to be a little naturally pudgy though so this is a big deal. Why would he even let somebody weigh him if he he gained 18 pounds? He can’t fall that far though because everyone has limitations in this draft.

kaceyParticipantSo if he lost 18 pounds, would his stock have gone up?
Teams have firm medical background checks at this point, they should know all risks by now.
