Pro-21ParticipantI ask this to say, if Curry were on OKC with Durant, could they have beat GSW with Westbrook and Klay at the helm?
I personally don’t think so. What enabled the OKC to get ahead of GSW was their incredible defense at every single position. Westbrook was able to play great defense while also putting up multiple triple doubles and 30 point (inefficient, but still) games. KD pretty much did the same thing. They also played 45 minutes a game. They didn’t close the deal, but they were the team’s only reliable perimeter scorers/shot creators, whereas Curry’s team essentially has two starting lineups, the coach of the year and a ton of consummate defenders to cover his weaknesses. His team is so good that he and Klay played horribly yesterday and yet the cavs lost by 15.
I say all of this to say, can we, in good faith say that Curry is definitely better than Westbrook or KD? At their best, they bring great defense and historic offensive production. Curry has all of his deficiencies covered by great defenders and an inexhaustible bench.

CU.LIONSParticipantI’d say this, Curry is a better fit for the Warriors and Westbrook is better at OKC. Also think Curry is underrated at setting up his teammates with his passing and creating. Curry gets so much press for his shooting that people don’t realize he is very good at getting other players good looks. Westbrook simple does not. With the Warriors having so many good shooters, Curry is a must.

clw5382ParticipantIf you swap the player’s the thunder win. Curry and Durant are the two best players in the series. Westbrook is a beast but wouldn’t make the warriors better, instead he would take away from what Draymond does for them. I say thunder in 5.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantThe guy has a point… it is just dumb speculation. What if swiss cheese had no hole, would it taste the same? What if LeBron was still in Miami and D. Wade was in Cleveland? All dumb fckn questions.
