Recent teams that will make NBA 2k Historic Teams in the future.

I made a thread a few weeks ago about what teams you wanted in NBA 2k14’s ‘Historic Teams’ feature. What about current or recent teams that’ll make the game in future instalments? By recent I mean teams from this century.
Here’s a list of my picks:
2001-02 Lakers – the last of the 3peat winners. Replacing the 97-98 Lakers.
2001-02 Nets – A great roster that lost in the finals to the Lakers, they are as talented as some rosters currently on the game.
2004-05 Rockets – The last season where both Yao and Tmac were at peak health.
2004-05 Spurs – I could have really picked any of the Spurs championship winners, but this is the first one where Parker and Ginobili were star players on the team.
2009-10 Celtics – I really liked the 2010 finals and the teams core is the same as their 08 championship.
2009-10 Lakers – Apart from the fact I like this series it’s the repeat Lakers second championship. Kobe and Fisher are the only two guys left from the 3peat roster.
2010-11 Mavericks – I’m a massive Dirk fan so this be biased. I also think there are several veterans on the Mavs squad that should be immortalised in future instalments of the game.
2012-13 Heat – The Big 3 are a shoo-in. I choose this team because it had a better supporting cast in my opinion.
What do you think of my picks and have I missed any deserving teams?

  I loved playing with those pistons teams in NBA 2k. They were built around five starters and a solid bench.

  Glad you mentioned them because I loved that Detroit team. Never will forget how amazing Chancey was…
  Also I’d love to see Chris Webbers Kings team added in the game.

If the 01-02 Nets are on there, the 01-02 Kings definitely should be. They were probably the best team in the league that season but lost (with some highly-questionable refereeing) in 7 to the eventual champion Lakers (who swept that Nets team.)

To be honest, I always hoped that they create the old Toronto Raptors team when they had both Vince Carter and a very young Tracy McGrady. Not that the team was incredible or anything such as the teams that you have listed, I just felt that it would be pretty cool to be able to play with both of them on one team when they were young. Especially so because I never actually got to see them play in Toronto in real life, as I didn’t start watching basketball until much later (which I regret!).

As a timberwolves fan I would like to see the 03-04 timberwolves, it was garnetts mvp season, sam cassell made his only all star game, the timberwolves made the western conference finals. It was the best team the timberwolves ever had and since they have been so bad the last 6 or 7 years until this year. it would be nice to be able to use them
