bkb77ParticipantRaptors OK deal for Bosh to Cavs, Waiting on Bosh Appoval

IndianaBasketballParticipant“Toronto likely would get Anderson Varejao and/or J.J. Hickson, Delonte West and perhaps Anthony Parker. A draft pick could be involved as well.”
Toronto can get a better deal than that.

KevinDurantRocksParticipantChris Bosh has the ultimate decision that every one has been dying to know
Make 15-20 million and play with Lebron James vs. living in Cleveland haha
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 6:46am #347407

delfamParticipantToronto isn’t going to get a much better deal than that, Bosh could just walk away and they could get nothing, I team could just sign him outright and give up nothing. Not sure why a team would trade players when they could just sign him, unless your Cleveland and have no cap space.

KevinDurantRocksParticipantNew Jeresy for Derrick Favors is ten times the deal. Those picks mean nothing. If Toronto does this then they should get a 1st rounder after James and Bosh leave or get the next 5 years of clevelands first rounders

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThere are plenty of better deals than This one….
Varejeo= a hack that gets bailed out because he’s Lebron’s team mate
West= Equals another guard and giant head case…
Hickson= Over rated trade bait for the last year…He’s not very good and he’s talked about like he’s the next Amare….
Draft Pick from Cavs in the Late 20’s= Jack Shyt….That deal sucks….For real….Cavs will be getting Bosh for Scrubs and LBJ and Kobe can finally meet in the Finals…I smell horse shyt….
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 6:54am #347413
FDAPOYes it’s a bad deal, but how does anyone expect the Raptors to get significant value for Bosh??? He’s clearly leaving the team and at this point they would be trying to get whatever they can.
But yeah, Hickson is garbage and I remember Cavs fans last year saying they didn’t want to trade him for Amare…(wow)
Varejao is also one of the most overrated players in the league. He would get exposed in Toronto.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 7:02am #347423

NashyMingParticipantDon’t take this crappy deal BC!!! You would be proven to be a complete moron if you do that. The Raptors would get a shit pile of role players (with extremely overpaid AV) and low picks for BOSH. This is insane.
Anderson Varejao – crazily overpaid role player that can’t do much more than flop and hustle (D & rebounding). A decent role player, but paid like an all-star with a few more years to go. He’s a cap killer. If BC taking on this guy, Raptors cap will be screwed to the point of no return. Another shit contract added.
JJ Hickson – is crazily overrated based on potential. He is an ok pick up in the deal, but certainly not impressive enough in a Bosh deal.
Delonte West – the only good thing about West is that he can be bought out to free some cap space rightaway. However, cap space is useless to the Raptors since they are already loaded with cap killers. A decent role player that can D and score a bit, but he won’t be much help for a crappy Raptors team.
Anthony Parker – Parker is solid for what he’s paid.
All these guys + a pick for BOSH? Are you out of your mind, BC?
You can certainly get better package with the Bulls or the Heat.
Bulls – Gibson + picks + TE is significantly better offer.
Heat – Beasley + Chalmer + TE + picks is significantly better offer.
Gibson is a solid defensive role player at rookie scale.
Beasley can become a super star if his head is right.
Chalmer is just a backup PG, but his contract is minimum anyway.
The TE is the most valuable asset and it can be used to get assets from financially struggling team like the Hornets (Collison and Okafor).
You need get the TE, BC!!!

thparadoxParticipantIf the raptors do this Cavs deal I’ll be truly pissed. I’ll probably cease being a fan, like with the Leafs.
Having free cap space is much better than that garbage platter. Why would we do this and go way over the luxury tax?
Beasley or Favors is WAY WAY WAY better for us.
We have to hit the Eject button on Turkoglu ASAP….

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantHe’s a King Sized Hack and his going to injure someone real soon….He is soooooo overrated and uncoordinated It’s not even Funny….He’s 6’10 and cant start at Center without riding the bench with foul trouble….Just wait and see him fizzle out in Toronto….
FYI…There are plenty of deals better than this one…
Like Houston…Scola, Battier( Being brought out after trade, will return to Rockets I bet it) Budinger and Ny draft Picks in 2011 and 2012…
Then there’s the Miami Beasley, Chalmers and Anthony trade…At least Beasley is a great player and can help you get rid of Bargnani…
Spurs can give up ….Tony Parker and Dajuan Blair for Bosh…They Could include Manu and ask for Derozen…
The Bulls have dog shyt…Deng is not worth Bosh…they can add whoever they want the answers NO…
My Sixers would even offer a better deal than the Cavs….
Andre Iguadola, Lou Williams and Spencer Hawes( pick one or the other) and a Draft Pick in 2011…
They’d get 3 starters and a Pick out of the deal…

IndianaBasketballParticipant@realgmbakax
This would be a sympathy sign and trade for Dan Gilbert, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavs.

the I in winParticipantFor the record, I’ve always been for getting rid of Hickson. Athletic PF’s are a dime a dozen.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 7:15am #347439
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantIt’s a steal and The Cavs, Lakers and David Stern are the only ones that gain anything from this Trade…
Does anyone really want to see Kobe and Lebron in the Finals??? I just vomited in my mouth thinking about it….
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 7:17am #347442

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantIf this deal goes down. It’s honestly some old BS.
Cleveland has gotten 2 deals done that seemed fishy to me. That got Mo Williams for a cup of oil and Antwan Jamison for coach lint.
If this deal goes down then the NBA has to be fixed to have LBJ win a title in Cleveland.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 7:21am #347448
ZeroParticipantI don’t want that overpaid flopper, Varejeo.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 7:31am #347453
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantKnicksboys….You forgot the Cavs should be investigated for the Z/Jamison deal….They clearly talked to the Wizards about buying out Big Z and got Jamison for nothing…Why would the Wizards give the Cavs (you know their arch rivals) their best player for Nothing….Easy answer….The NBA told them too…They thought Jamison and a returning Z and Shaq would help LBJ and Kobe reach the Finals…2 years straight Kobe has made good on his end of the deal…2 years straight LBJ has choked…Think about it…Who did the Cavs give up to get Jamison??? And how were the Wizards rewarded …The # 1 pick John Wall….
Is it a coincidence??? I think Not….
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 7:34am #347458
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantMade by two friends Ferry and Kerr…They flip flopped players and tried to get the Cavs a Ring…Now Both are gone to hide the fact there is collusion in the NBA …Don’t be suprised if they both get on a plane and it crashes right before a meeting with congress….
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 7:55am #347472

NYCrealdealParticipantthis maybe the only time every i agree with scarecrow (mr minus me now)
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 7:56am #347474
OllstarParticipantJamison is on the wrong side of 30 with a large contract. Wiz owed it to Butler and Jamison to trade them to a contender. Wiz were able to trade these guys without takin contracts going passed this summer. Not a bad deal for the Wiz.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 8:06am #347479

PlatypusParticipantThe Wiz did it to dump salary and to start from scratch
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 8:40am #347497
NYK2010ParticipantWill just fuck up the Raptors salary cap for years, Toronto is pretty stupid what are they going to do with Delonte West, Parker and Varajeo’s has a long term contract.
PG – Calderon/Jack/Banks
SG – Derozan/West/Belinelli
SF – Turkoglu/Moon
PF – Hickson/Daivs
C – Bargnani/Varajeo0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 8:55am #347501
Hickson is better then Beasley, Hawes and Gibson.
AV is better then Noah, so this is definatley the best deal for the Raptors.
If Chicago offers Noah, Gibson and a pick, then Toronto would listen but Bosh would want LeBron or Wade to sign b4 he agreees to be s &t’d.
Bosh wants max money and toronto wants young talent, Hickson is just that 20yr old who scores double figures and is 7rebounds right now.
The decision is Bosh’s do you want to win with LeBron, Shaq, Jamison or go to Chicago with Rose and hope someone else comes because they have to give up Noah or Toronto doesnt S & T you with the max he wants.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 9:27am #347529
NYK2010ParticipantHickson isn’t better than Beasley what the hell you talking about.
He can’t even shoot, he just makes some good cuts to the basket and played well with Lebron.
Beasley is a lot more talented too.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 9:35am #347539

kanyedabestParticipantIF they do this they are fuckin stupid!!!!! hickson, varejo, west WTF get b-easy who has star potential like fuck clangelo dumb twat
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 9:52am #347552

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantIf Bosh doesn’t come Lebron isn’t staying in Cleveland. Bosh wants that extra 30 mil but he won’t get it unless he goes to Cleveland since the Raptors don’t want to deal him to Miami.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 10:46am #347590
GrizzNationParticipantLol this tradewpuld be worse than the Paul trade my grizzlies made, who would Toronto be getting? Atleast we got Marc, and some expirings, Toronto only get a bunch of salary fillers
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 10:59am #347601

SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantYou guys are morons
The Raptors DONT PICK who Bosh wants to go too. A deal is simply in place if Bosh decides to go there. If Bosh goes to NJ than there will be another deal in place. If Bosh goes to Chicago, than there will be a deal in place there.
It’s not like the Raptors have a say in who Bosh wants to sign with.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 11:19am #347614
OllstarParticipantBosh should just re-sign with Toronto. Toronto fans want him to stay and I think BC would give him the Max. We still have a young team and it can only get better. Amir’s contract and the drafting of Davis really make it seem like we’re getting rid of him. Bottom line if Bosh wants to be the man like he says then he stays in Toronto cause he’ll just be second or third fiddle anywhere else. As captain of the Raptors Bosh is trying to scare his team into working harder.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 11:38am #347624

OhCanada-ParticipantHawes Cleveland can’t sign Bosh outright it has to be through a S&T so the Raptors have alot more say in this trade than a team with Cap Space.
Guys don’t get so worked up. The fact remains that the article stated a deal has been finalized, but the trades details have not been leaked. For all we know there is a 3 team trade in the works where Toronto gets Igoudala, or Al Jefferson or Monta Ellis teh fact remains that we do not know.
“The exact details of the potential trade have not been solidified, but Toronto likely would get Anderson Varejao and/or J.J. Hickson, Delonte West and perhaps Anthony Parker. A draft pick could be involved as well.”From the article.
I can personally gaurentee this trade will not happen and if Bosh does go to Cleveland either another team will S&T him or Toronto will do a 3 team trade.I’ve heard Shaq is thinking about signing with Dallas ,Boston or Atlanta maybe incorporating, from Atlanta Jordan Crawford or Marvin Williams, from Boston Avery Bradley and from Dallas Rodrigue Beabouis, Raps would probally have to add some value to land a young talent like those thou.
At the end of the day I dont see Bosh going to play in Cleveland when he can play in any city he wants with any player he wants (aside from OKC apparently). If Bosh demands to go to LA he will. If he says damnit I wanna play in Sacramento, it’s a done deal. He can play in NY, CHI, or MIA with Dwayne Wade or Lebron James why would he play in smelly old Cleveland…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 11:41am #347625

OhCanada-ParticipantOllstar that ship has sailed. He said workout harder and they came up with Oneal, Marion, and Turkoglu 3 declining players. Hes done trying and we should be done thinking it would work with Bosh in Toronto. Move on.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 11:44am #347627

SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantOk so Bosh wants to go to Cleveland, what are they gonna get for him other than what was mentioned?? They take take that deal and move on–what else are they gonna do? Hickson has potential to be a good starter, Vareajo even though overpaid is a decent backup big and really excels at his role, West is just a fill-in for now, and Parker is solid.
If Bosh wants to go to Cleveland TORONTO HAS NO CHOICE. They can take nothing or take this group of guys. They’re not gonna be good for another few years anyways, might as well take the potential guy in Hickson and maybe he becomes a good starter when Toronto makes a turn around.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 12:07pm #347646

OhCanada-ParticipantAmir Johnson just resigned for 7 Million a year 5 years. Bargnani is expected to get an increased role. Alabi is expected to play solid D at 5 and rebound immediatly. Davis is expected to do the same at 4.Evans is still on contrac for 1 year. Also Cheik Samb, and Joey Dorsey is on Toronto’s Summer League Roster. Thats already 5 gaurenteed contracts and 2 potential contracts, with 7 overall contracts at 4 and 5. So why would we take both. I agree Hickson’s contract and everything is not bad its okay to aquire him BUT NOT VAREJAO.
Toronto does not allow guys like Delonte West on their team.
Like I said this would be a very complicated deal involving multiple teams, multiple players, expiring contracts and maybe even TEs.There are teams lacking rebounding that would love to have Varejao. There are teams with to much Cap room to sign Shaq that want him on thier Roster. Parker would be a great mentor for Derozan, Weems, Bellinelli and any young G’s or Wings.
If there is no 3rd team and maybe even a 4th team, there is no trade because if it’s just Cav’s and Rap’s Toronto has fill their Salary with 16 Mil of garbage.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 12:27pm #347659
OllstarParticipantWhat better way to force the Raptors to improve than threatning to lose their best player. Bosh is setting a fire under BC this summer to work magic to the roster. All signs point to Bosh leaving yes. But he’s more than welcome to stay and be our cornerstone. Don’t count anything out until something happens. Remember Brand and Davis were gonna team up in LA and it was said to be set in stone and bam Brand gets signed by philly. Lucky for the clips.
