valentineKornheiser announced tuesday morning on his Washington D.C talk show that ESPN has suspended him from the tv talk show he does with Mike Wilborn Pardon the Interuption for 2 weeks..Because of remarks he made about 47 year old ESPN anchor Hannah Storm..Last week Kornheiser commented on Hannah’s outfit..Saying she has on red go-go boots and a Catholic- School plaid skirt….Way too short for someone in her 40’s or 50’s..In a statement from ESPN Vice President John Skipper said”comments like those are hurtful & inappropiate..And are not acceptable..Kornheiser said he called Storm and apologized..Tony must’ve gotten horny after seeing Hannah and his 61 year old ass,, couldn’t get her off his mind..

llperezyeah, i heard about that today.I saw the picture of storm, and it was not THAT bad what she was wearing. His comments were hurtful and innappropriate especially considering he was reffering on air about a fellow worker. Serious lack of professionalism on his part.

joecheck88ParticipantHannah Storm is 47. She looks good for 47. Ya he shouldnt of said it but she does dress differently than everyone else on Sportscenter, she doesnt dress way out of line but i have noticed it before.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe comments were hurtful and inappropriate, but I’m sure Kornheiser was just joking… Still doesn’t make it right, but I’m sure he was just joking around like he and Wilbon usually do. ESPN allows them to say a lot of things on that show. I would’ve suspended him for a week… Two is a little extreme.
ESPN still baffles me though… The guy who “slipped” Martin Luther Coon out of his mouth was given the benefit of the doubt and received no punishment.

darkman97ParticipantBut I’m not seeing the problem here. I forget the guys name but you know the one that wears the loud suits on TNT? He gets teased all the time, is it different because she is a female. I am an equal opportunity type of guy to all ends. She’s in a prodominatly guys field and we know that guys like to tease, once again look at the TNT guys with Charles and Kenny. I agree the Martin Luther Coon was very disrespectful and it was just pushed under the rug. Backwards to me.

llperezhave you guys heard his comments? First off, it wasn’t done on PTI, it was done on the tony kornheiser radio show. And there was nothing funny about the way he said it. He said how “i know i’m not supposed to trash my collegues, but hannah staorm was embarrasing. That was not an outfit for a lady in her 40’s or 50’s.” And then his cohost calls her “trashy”. And then they move on. It was not joking, and if it was, that was some of the worst and most spiteful sense of humor i can think of. It’s not even about being sexist, it was just out of line.

rtbtParticipantWay to go llperez22, we don’t need this kind of sexism the 21st century. Who gave Kornheiser the right to be Hannah Storm’s fashion judge, or anyone else for that matter?

Dhamp2ParticipantCraig Sager is the reporter for TNT who has been known to wear loud “lemon” yellow suits, among others.

Soulrebel15ParticipantIs that all he said? “I know I’m not supposed to trash my colleagues, but Hannah Storm was embarrassing. That was not an outfit for a lady in her 40’s or 50’s.” It has to be more than this, whats so sexist about this particular comment? If anything the co-host needed to be reprimanded for his comments. Have people seen what she wares on Sportscenter? I’m not knocking it cause she looks good for her age. But lets keep it 100, she looks like she’s about to so a Naked News segment, I should say before the clothes come off, instead of Sportscenter.
By the way, did anyone see her on Sports Reporters last Sunday? Again I’m not knocking her, but she knew the kind of attention she receive by spicing up wardrobe. This is the age of the Cougar!

adamsdankParticipantAnyone who thinks he should have been suspended or anyone who takes these comments to seriously are MORONS. First of all the comment he made about his “ESPN co-worker” was not made on PTI it was made on his radio show which is NOT affiliated with ESPN. Second, do any of you ever listen to sports talk radio or any talk radio in general? Obviously you don’t. RTBT asked what gives Tony the right to make these comments? HE IS A TALK RADIO SHOW HOST. IT IS HIS JOB TO COMMENT ON ALL SORTS OF THINGS IN THE SPORTS WORLD. THAT IS WHAT TALK RADIO HOSTS DO FOR A LIVING. LLperez thinks this is a lack of perfessionalism when in fact he has every right to state his opinion. The thing about this situation that really gets me is that he was not on ESPN radio or PTI when he made these comments. They have never actually worked together, never even met each other. If tony would have made these comments about woman who worked at Disneyland would he be suspended today? They technically are co-workers. They were just looking for a reason to suspend him. But why?
I don’t believe he was suspended for his comment on Hannah Storm alone. Duruing the same segment Tony and his co host took a veiled shot at Chris Berman, insinutaing basically he was a fat slob and the he lied about losing a lot of weight using Nutrisystem diet. ESPN, who will soon be trying to sign Berman to a new contract, doesn’t want anything to interfere with this process. For those who don’t know, Chris Berman has very thin skin and ESPN does not want anything to come between them and signing Berman to a new contract.0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/24/2010 - 11:44am #259990

IndianaBasketballParticipantOh please… When the guy from Mike and Mike in the Morning said “Martin Luther Coon, I mean, King Jr.” you sure in the hell didn’t seem too outraged or say that was “out of line”…. I didn’t hear you saying what he said was hurtful or that he was unprofessional lol. I didn’t think that was too funny either, regardless of if it “slipped” or not. THAT was one of the worst “slip ups” I can think of and I think THAT was out of line. He didn’t even get punished for it either. You were sitting there making excuses for him and saying how you could understand how it slipped by “talking too fast” and putting “two words together”…. Get out of here with that.
If anything, the co-host was the one who was out of line… And like someone above mentioned, Kornheiser’s radio talk show isn’t even affiliated with ESPN and he and Storm have never even worked together. I can guarantee you that more people were watching Mike and Mike in the Morning than people listening to Kornheiser’s radio talk show. ESPN can be ridiculous…

quinceyhodgesits not that the comments were sexiest its the fact that espn has a rule that you cant talk down about another coworker. you can if you are going back and forth and joking like ” ha you dont know what youre talking about , or thats a bad coat”

llperezadamsdank-i quit reading after you called me a moron, grow up.
tezo-who said i was outraged or upset about this? You obviously had not heard the comments based on the fact that you thought it was an attempt to be funny made on PTI, so i corrected you. This has nothing to do with the MLK situation, two different situations. Why should i base my opinion on this about something completely different? I said he might of slipped by talking too fast, which is how i feel and it was apparently how espn felt as well. You love to use the term “get ouf here with that” every time i say something you disagree with.
Kornheiser talked about how she gained weight and her shirt looked like sausage wrapping and was cruel about his fellow espn worker, and he got suspended rightfully so. Why would you defend him on that?
