Already happened. Repeatedly. Sulaimon was benched for a stretch spanning multiple games. But anywho,I can’t see Willey Cauley-Stein not starting. Especially considering that he’s going to be a junior.

Toward the end of the season Sulaimon had replaced Cook in the starting lineup and was playing more.

Didn’t see WCS off the bench last year either, but Dakari ended the season as the starter. I don’t completely rule out a Lyles/Towns frontcourt with WCS and Dakari off the wood!

I picked Cook over Sulaimon because of their history. Cook has started over Sulaimon many times in the past, and might at least initially get the edge.

Damn that Kentucky team would be one of the tallest teams in the NBA, let alone at the college level. A 6-5 point guard, 6-5 shooting guard, 6-8 and 239 lbs small forward, 7 foot power forward, 7 foot and 265 lbs center, 7 foot 6th man and another 6-10 player in Marcus Lee off the bench.

They’re going to have a massive advantage in length on every other team in the nation.

I am a huge Cuse fan and think #9 is a bit high for their pre season ranking.  They lost a significant amount of production from last year and at this point they have too many ? marks.  They have one true PG and he is a freshamn.  Dajuan Coleman’s status and health are still up in the air and it is unceratin whether he will be ready by the start of the season.  They are going to need to get a lot out of Christmas and Cooney.  Nonetheless I am excited to see what McCullough and Joseph bring to the team.

I definitely agree, that team is deep and talented. Nunez will be huge for them. I really hope they get sabonis gets some playing time. He and karnowski are gonna be a load to handle, having the ability to have a player of that size on the court at all times is going to be a great luxury. I’m sad to hear dranginis is leaving, he could have had a big role. I’d love to see the zags redeem themselves a little and make it to the sweet 16, the talent is there.

As a UT fan also, I believe that Demarcus Holland will actually start at the 2 guard spot as he started and even led the team in minutes last season. With Taylor progressing this allows Felix to provide a needed scoring punch from the 6th man role. Should be a fun season to see how the team progresses

        more UT fans!

I completly agree with you, I would much rather the backcourt have Taylor and Holland. Felix got great experience his freshman year starting when Myck was sidelined, but I think he will do much better coming off the bench. I’m very excited to see how the big men play. Prince Ibeh, Cameron Ridley, Myles Turner, Connor Lammert and Jonathan Holmes, provides a little bit of everything you could want from your front court.

Very true. I’m still staying optimistic and hoping the kid can produce off the bench at KU.

Man, I really liked Papapetrou. I was sad to see him leave UT to go pro in Europe, although very understandable.

Im not sold on Ku#1. Point guard play has been rough the last couple years at KU with Tharpe and Elijah Johnson(who was really more of a 2). One of Mason or Frankcamp will need to set up. KU is pretty deep though with an improving Traylor and redshirt Hunter Mickelson helping in the front court.

I think Ku is the 3-4 slot is right for them. I think Uk and Zona have more pure talent.

All I know is I can’t wait to see the KU-UK match up early in the season!!!

Bryce Alford played great as a freshman, he transitioned into college seemlessly. I remember people trying to say that nepotism was the only reason he was going to ucla. His dad is in fact the coach and he’s undersized and ppl questioned his athleticism etc. but the kids got game, and swag to boot. Hes a knockdown shooter with unlimited range either on the catch and shoot or off the dribble. He’s a heady point guard and is quite savvy. He has a great feel for the game but his flair for the dramatic can get him in trouble at times but cutting down those types of plays are a standard part of the maturation process.

It was really nice to see him come into his own as a freshman and silence his critics. And he’s now going to be uclas starting point guard and somewhat likely be the most important player on the team.  Kevin looney might have something to say about that. It’s gonna be a lot of fun watchin him lead the break with kevin looney and Norman Powell filling the lanes. I’d love to see Bryce carve out a role for himself in the league someday as a 2nd or 3rd pg/bench scorer. I really love watchin the kid play and don’t want there to only be 3 more years of it! I think ucla has the ability to make an elite 8 run and who knows? Maybe even deeper

I’m excited to see who takes the leap for Michigan State. I expect Dawson to do his thing, but I hope Valentine and Kaminski take their games to another level. Valentine has proven to be a creator, he just makes bad decisions here and again(which does happen) and Kaminski really came on last year with his 3 point shooting. Besides Dawson, I think those two guys are key along with Trice’s health.

Kentucky is huge yes……They’ll definitely be at a disadvantage in terms of speed and quickness though.  The Harrison twins are big, but not that quick or fast.  They use strength and angles to get to the rim.  Booker and Lyles aren’t great athletes.  Last year they struggled with quickness.  Napier got to the rim at will against the twins in the championship game.  Teams at a height disadvantage, which will be basically every team they play will be able to beat Kentucky up and down the court if they are committed to running in my opinion.  With their height, they’ll be able to cover up penetration with their shot-blocking.

I agree with the top 3, but I would move Wisconsin up. That’s almost all of a final 4 team coming back.
