To LAL: Cousins, 6th pick

To SAC: Vučević, 5th pick and other picks

To ORL: 2nd pick



 

Feels like Orlando is giving up a lot for moving up three spots…. That 6th pick should probably go to ORL or stay with SAC instead of going to LA

if this ever happened i know for sure lakers hired someone to put a gun to the owners of sac and orlando to make this trade happen

There’s no way this trade is legit.  That’s so lopsided for the Lakers.

It’s tough to really come up with a fair trade that involves Vucevic because it makes it tough to give Orlando the value they deserve while also giving Sacramento the value they deserve.  I think the following might be better:

LA Gives: #2 pick, Julius Randle

LA Gets: Cousins

Orlando Gives: Elfrid Payton

Orlando Gets: #6 Pick

Sacramento Gives: Cousins

Sacramento Gets: #2 Pick, Payton, Randle

Why?

#2 pick + Randle coming off an injury isn’t too much to pay when you’re getting a legit franchise player in return (especially at the C position)

Orlando gets a great pick in return for Payton, and they can likely take Mudiay with one of their picks to replace him while adding another piece with the #6 pick (ex: They could roll out a 1-3 of Mudiay, Oladipo, Hezonja).

Sacramento loses by far the best player in the deal, but they get the #2 pick so they can replace him with Okafor while also picking up the PG that they were in love with a year ago, and also pick up another solid prospect in Julius Randle.
