As we know, the Rockets just signed Ariza. It would make sense for them to match on Parsons as he is such a huge assett (which is why he was offered a near max deal in the first place).

With Ariza making $8 million and Parsons making $15 million, it does not make sense to relegate either of them to a bench role. On top of that, neither are superstars, leaving the Rockets without their long desired ‘Big 3’.

    THE TRADE:

    • Rockets Trade: Parsons,  Donatas, 2016 1st Rnd Pick, 2018 1st Rnd Pick
    • Wolves Trade: Love
    • Pistons Trade: Monroe

    WHO GETS WHAT:

    • Rockets Recieve: Love
    • Wolves Recieve: Monroe, 2 1st Rnd Picks
    • Pistons Recieve: Parsons, Donatas

    FUTURE LINEUPS/ASSETS:

    • Rockets: (PG) Beverly (SG) Harden (SF) Ariza (PF) Love (C) Howard

Bench: Canaan, Casspi, Daniels, Garcia, Hamilton

    • Wolves: (PG) Rubio (SG) Martin (SF) Brewer (PF) Monroe (C) Pekovic

Bench: Dieng, Lavine, Barea, Shved, Shabazz, Budinger, 2 Extra 1st Rnd Picks

    • Pistons: (PG) Jennings (SG) KCP (SF) Parsons (PF) J.Smith (C) Drummond

                        Bench: Singler, Datome, Siva, Dinwiddie

    Why?

    • Rockets get their big three and become a title contender
    • Wolves get something for Love in their future star PF and draft picks
    • Pistons get to move Smith to his natural position,  get a an efficient shooter/playmaker

      why??

Good idea all parts fit imo. But im not sure Monroe agrees to a sign and trade to be sent to Minnesota. Especially when they already have a guy in Pekovic who is comparable.

But i’d take it as a Rox fan. Not sure if the money works out with every one either

The Pistons would have to sign Parsons for something better then what the Mavs offered him within the next 2 days.

All that would need to happen is the Rockets would have to sign Parsons’ offer sheet, then wait 30 days into the season. Thennnnn the trade can go down.

Some team will offer monroe near max money. Then the Pistons match. Then this trade can go down mid season.

Great idea.  Seems like you put a lot of thought into which teams have assets and potential best fits.  I think this makes too much sense though to ever realistically happen.

Parsons already signed an offer sheet with Dallas so the only possible destinations for him is Dallas or Hiuston if they decide to match. And I believe if Houston matches then they can’t trade him for a full year but I could be wrong that.

You’re partially right on that last part? I believe the rule in the cba is that you can’t trade your player(chandler parsons) to the team who gave him an offer sheet which you matched(dallas mavericks) for a full year or season.

That’s the only real loss to swinging and missing on a restricted free agent. Got to wait for a full year/season till you have the option to trade for him.

Maybe if we get this trade enough upvotes the teams involved will see it and make it happen. The Rockets instantly become a 60 win team, Detroit figures out there crowded front court situation, and the Wolves get a solid peice to rebuild around.
