McDunkinPheonix refuses to get a true big man out of these trades…if they had someone that could replace amares low post offense i would love this team

mistapink1Participanti cannot believe the suns didn’t sign-and-trade for david lee when amare bolted. lee would be the perfect 4 for the suns and the knicks just traded him to golden state. the suns get lee that’s a western conference final team. instead they go for hakim warrick and re-signing channing frye? and now hedo? how many perimeter guys do they need?

mikeyvthedonParticipantThe Raptors get Diaw. Man, the Hawks wasted that 6th pick on Childress. I mean, he was a good role guy for them, and obviously they have made it twice to the second round without him, but I am sure they are disappointed it turned out this way. They got Josh Smith at 17 in that same draft, so it wasn’t all bad, but they could have used Childress these past couple years as a role guy, not to mention Luol Deng went right after him and Iguodala. It seems like the Hawks are already paying players enough money, but it also seems like they are a ways away from being in the think of things. Getting a 2nd rounder for Josh Childress, man, that sucks for them. Does anyone think they are even close to Miami or Orlando, or even their “rival” Boston, even if they sign Shaq? This team just seems to be on a course of being average.

HotSnotParticipantContracts aside… who’s better Turk or Diaw? Diaw seems like a better ‘team’ player who can function without complaining in pretty much any offense. Give Diaw a role and he will fill it. He defended 3 through 5 in PHX…and did a good job. Turk seems like the better all around player but he’s too much of a Diva. He thinks he’s better then he really is and wants/needs to be the star of the team or he is realtively ineffective and moody about it.

SwatLakeCityParticipantIt looks like the Raptors will use Diaw as a replacement for Bosh. Get a little more defensive, and Barbosa should help Derozan develop. Barbosa could potentially start along with Diaw pushing Derozan to the bench.
I don’t what the suns are thinking, first I hear that they start Warrick at Amare’s position, the 4, then they trade Barbosa for Hedo yet they already have a starting SF in Grant Hill and plan to have him play big minutes again. Maybe Hill will play the 2, Hedo starts at the three, Warrick at the 4, and Richardson comes off the bench playing the role of Barbosa.
Possible Suns Lineup
Nash
Hill (Richardson comes off the bench, again would he adjust to this role considering his ego)
Hedo
Warrick
Lopez
or
Nash
Richardson
Hill (Hedo comes off the bench, I don’t think he would like this role)
Warrick
Lopez
or
Nash
Richardson
Hill
Hedo (Warrick comes off the bench, but I don’t know how Hedo would adjust to playing the 4, a role that I don’t he has ever played; with Orlando he was a 3, and played the same position in Toronto.)

PlatypusParticipantDiaw is best off the bench because of his versatility he came into the league as a combo guard and look at him now i see Derozen or Weems going to Small forward though and Diaw off the bench

rtbtParticipantIs this a done deal or one of those NBADraft.net projected deals?
If it happens, it tells me that Phoenix doesn’t get it. Turkoglu is a Point Forward who’s at his best when running the offense. Excuse me, but doesn’t Phoenix have a guy named Steve Nash running the offense?
By the way, never forget that owner Robert Sarver traded/gave away several number one draft choices after he became the owner in 2004. If he kept some of those choices, Phoenix probably would be in a much stronger position today.

ScareCrowsRevengeParticipantNash-JR-Hedo-Warrick or Frye-Lopez…
Bench…Hill-Warrick or Frye-Dragic-Amundson???….They need help on the Wings…IMO Nash has to go and get them something when he leaves…He deserves to get a Ring before he retires…
