If you listen to my commentary about the Celtics i am ALWAYS RIGHT…Now that Embiid is injured and the Warriors seem committed to offering a better package than the Celtics the Dynamic of the Draft for the Celtics has changed completely…

From 2007 Part 2 of getting two All Star caliber players to pair up with their existing All Star to a full blown REBUILD !

    Scenario #1

Which means to me that now only will the Celtics keep their #6 and #17 picks but also will trade Rondo to the Kings for the #8 pick, Isiah Thomas and some assets…Kings and their new owner are committed to surrounding Cuz and Gay with a play making guard and making the playoffs !

    Scenario #2

OKC is in dire need of having a playmaking PG…it’s not that the Durant/Westbrook experiment has’nt worked it’s that it needs some tinkering…Rondo to OKC for young talents like Reggie Jackson,  Steven Adams or Jeremy Lamb and #21 pick makes all the sense in the world…Celtics were desperately trying to get Adams last year and Reggie Jackson much like James Harden before him is waiting to blossom as soon as he gets his own starting gig !

I would greatly prefer to see this lineup for the future for the Celtics…

    C Embiid

    PF Sullinger

    SF Aaron Gordon

    SG Jeremy Lamb

    PG Reggie Jackson

    Banners…#18, #19 ….coming up in 2 or 3 years!!!

Some people will be upset over my perceived arrogance of this post but that is mostly because they are frustrated with their own ineptness to not think like me…

I expect the Celtics to go back to pre big 3 finishes. Low in the standing and players wanting out just like Pierce did.

Your lineup doesn’t make sense. If they make the trade with OKC, how do they also get both Gordon & Embiid with the 6th, 17th & 21st picks? If they trade with Sac and have the (potential) chance to pick both Embiid & Gordon, they wouldn’t have Jackson & Lamb on their roster.

Maybe before tooting your own horn, you should make sure it’s not sticking out your back-side.

I can’t predict 100% of the scenarios…but I believe A Gordon because of his tweener status will drop down to 8 to 10…so i can see C’s shipping 17, 21 and a future 1 for him…i think Randle and Vonleh go ahead of Gordon..

Wouldn’t being ALWAYS RIGHT be around 100% of the time?

Your post makes perfect sense, if you look at it from a Celtic perspective. But there is no way the Thunder would want an older, more expensive point guard with almost no outside shot instead of Jackson, who had a great season. Besides, the Thunder should use their cap space for a SG, not  a backup point. Actually, I would rather have Isaiah Thomas than Rondo, even more if I can keep my 8th pick.

WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP WITH WITH EMBIID TO CELTICS POSTS. IT IS GETTING ANNOYING. Yes, I know you like him slipping to 6th ever since the injury came out. But you don’t have to convice everyone that Embiid is slipping to 6th.

Agreed, this is like his tenth Embiid to C’s post in three days.

Once Kevin Love visited Boston there have been endless crap on the Celtics and future plans…  I’m sorry, they were a lottery team last year…  They don’t deserve this much attention right now…  I would expect this from Lakers fans…  FAWK BOSTON AND THEIR #6 PICK…  Cavs got the #1 and don’t look far from the playoffs…  Sixers got #3 and #10….  Magic has #4 and #12…  These are better story lines than what Boston have right now…  There aren’t many teams that Rondo could be traded to…  So, it’s dumb as h*ll to speculate this much

Well, Thomas is younger than Rondo, has a better outside shot and has a way cheaper contract than Rondo.  Rondo has almost 25M guaranteed over the next two years, and Thomas is about to get a new contract, which I doubt will even come close to Rondo’s. So if the Kings take Thomas instead of someone like Rondo, they can spend their money on a PF (and I don’t mean Love) instead.
