Plus the Pelicans and Blazers trade first round picks this year.
Blazers get a defensive center to pair with Aldridge, plus a rotation guard. Blazers select Otto Porter or Victor Olidipo, if available, to fill the void left by Batum.
Clippers get a shooting big man to open the court for Griffin and Paul, plus a solid back up point guard in Vasquez.
Pelicans get a solid wing in Batum and their point guard of the future in Bledsoe. Pelicans select Steven Adams, Kelly Olynyk, or Rudy Gobert (depending on who they like best) to give them front court depth and replace Ryan Anderson.0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/20/2013 - 7:12am #778131

treytalkssports.comParticipantgood question … maybe Withy or Dieng would be available at their pick … or maybe Robin Lopez comes over from the Pelicans too.
Besides, Jordan only played 25 MPG and never played at the end of the game anyway.

wrectorParticipantThat’s a risky trade idea. You’re going to chance trading Nic Batum and picking up Otto Porter or Victor Oladipo with the 10th pick?

wrectorParticipantStill…Cleveland is most likely going to take Otto Porter and Phoenix could take Oladipo. I mean, the odds are Portland would be able to take Oladipo with the 5th pick but that’s a gamble.

Memphis MadnessParticipantIf the Blazers want a defensive center they can trade down (possibly) to 17 and 18. They can go with either Dieng or Withey and then still take a solid player at 18. Perhaps Glen Rice, Jr. to give them more shooting and scoring from the wing.
The Blazers should not trade Batum.

fcb206Participantman, the pelicans make off like bandits in this deal. Unless they absolutely love a player available in the top of this draft. This is why pick trades never happen until after the lottery though. The pelicans might be in love with a guy available in the top 3, but not interested in any of the players who will be on the board from 4-7, which will seriously effect whether they make the deal. Bledsoe and Batum are good pieces to add in with Gordon and Davis. If Gordon could stay healthy that’s actually a pretty dynamic young core of players.
Is it me, or are the trade ideas getting posted lately starting to get a little less crazy?
