It will always be Miami as long as NBA is lead by Stern. NBA already lost a fan favorite in OKC. Would anybody watch a Spurs/Memp vs Indy? No viewers would mean no money for the NBA. And you thought the lottery was rigged!

  When did Miami become a big market? I believe they are middle of the pack, 14th or something. If they didn’t have Big 3 they would be way down the list.   As easily as I could see Miami winning this series, if West and Hibbert dominate and Wade continues to struggle, we could see the Pacers in the Finals.

And one of my biggest pet peeves of NBA officiating right there with Cole jumping on augustin when augustin lost the ball for a second and went to the floor. As soon as there is a loose ball on the floor, players are allowed to go all Miguel vs fans at the billboards and no foul is called.

    James, Durant, Bryant all usually guard the opposing teams best scorer and they still produce.

They are the best flopping team because they have the guys with the high basketball IQs combined with incredible speed. Flopping is just something they do better than others because they are often one step ahead of the offense, mentally and physically. It should be stopped, but it is hard to stop it when the guys doing it are really really good.

If you watched the game, you would have seen 80% of the heat’s offense down the stretch was based on lebron’s penetration but o you know he passed it out of his double team so just being passive.

I don’t care what Barkley says, it is absolutely terrible to not have Hibbert in the game there for those last couple possessions. The number 1 asset you can have vs. Lebron James is a rim protector. Look at Chandler in 2011. If Hibbert is in the game, he is at the rim on both of those plays. If he Bosh ends up getting an open jump shot, so be it. I’ll take my shot with Bosh on a jump shot over LeBron on an uncontested layup any day of the week. Also, with 2.2 left, you knew LeBron was getting the ball, and he really didn’t have enough time to pass it to someone else. That being said, the other defenders still should have been more aware of the situation.
Indiana didn’t look outclassed at all in terms of talent, that’s for sure. LeBron only took 2 shoots from 3 mins to go in the 4th to the last 2 possessions of OT. He needs to be aggressive down the stretch, or the Heat are going to get in trouble. The Pacers gave that game away with stupid mistakes and questionable coaching moves down the stretch. I am not calling Vogel a bad coach, I just think he did a poor job there. It was more than the Hibbert play…they were only in position to win because George made 2 great plays on broken plays.

Putting George back at the two and benching Stephenson might do more harm than good. And after that, they need to bring in some guys capable of playing minutes and contributing off the bench. Young, Green, Hansbrough, and Mahimi are beyond bad. It’s sad that Augustin actually seems decent to me for some reason.

I don’t blame Vogel for having young in there on the last play over hibbert. With 2 seconds left, you have to expect screens all over the court to get a guy free since there shouldn’t be enough time to go one on one off the dribble and get all the way to the rim. I can’t understand how everyone is pointing fingers at anyone other then George there. He didn’t even get screened, he just ran past lebron and allowed him to go 20 feet with zero resistance.

  You expect LeBron James to have the ball. If Hibbert gets lost and Bosh gets an open jumpshot, that is 100X better than LeBron getting a layup. A. They probably will give it to LeBron anyway there, and B. He has a much better chance of missing that.

    You have 5 quick shooters on the court for Miami. You have to be ready to switch all screens and not lose your man. That’s not hibberts strength. Even the most basic of man to man defense should never have allowed anyone to get a free driving lane in 2 seconds. George makes lebron use 2-3 dribbles or throw some pump fakes he never has time to drive 20 feet in 2 seconds. There shouldnt have been the need for a rim protector. That’s on George for allowing his teammates to play 5 on 4 and not even giving them time to make a rotation.

      I agree with you 100%.
      This is squarely on Paul George. He played great during the clutch, but he blew it on that play.
      He has to put it behind him and be ready for next game.
