Here is the link where Jalen Rose admits intentionally hurting Kobe by sliding under him on his jump shot:

    http://www.lakersnation.com/lakers-news-jalen-rose-admits-to-trying-to-injure-kobe-bryant/2012/09/18/

Shows how badly Rose wanted to win
Shows terrible character on Rose part
Shows how much he feared guarding Kobe
The only chance the Pacers had on beating LA
A credit to how great of talent Kobe is

Dumb thing to do, an even dumber thing to admit.

Such a dangerous thing to do and you’re supposed to be professionals? Disgraceful I don’t think you deserve to EVER get on your high horse about basketball (i.e black players playing at certain schools) I lost a lot of respect for him and used to enjoy listening him on ESPN but now I’ll just look at him and think of this.

My first thought after I looked at it was it didn’t look intentional at all, but why would you lie? Infact what are you trying to achieve by admitting it anyway??

He didn’t exactly confirm it. He swears he and Kobe are friends, be interested to hear  the whole story.

My take based on little that I know, in a game Rose stuck his foot under Kobe, I don’t think he intended to cripple or hurt Bryant….. He is now admitting it was not cool.

To me Meta World Peace, Bruce Bowen and any number of other NBA players have done equally foolish things.

I don’t care if he’s been dirty 2 wrongs don’t make a right, it’s not even about Kobe specifically.

It’s more about the notion of someone who admits to purposely putting their foot under a shooter as they go about their work. There’s enough injuries in the game and so many potentially great careers ruined to them without deliberate injury – I understand people bend the rules to gain an advantage but there are other "illegal" ways of gaining an advantage without causing serious injury to ankles. Thats a b1tch move in my opinion.

but it happened over a decade ago.  Kobe went on to win 5 championships.  Time to bury the hatchet and move on to more important/current issues.
