    October 16, 1978

    Technically not October 16th anymore, but on this day in Bulls History the Bulls waived a player with one of the most Unique names in Sports History: Chubby Cox.

    Cox was drafted by the Bulls earlier that year in the 8th round of the 1978 Draft but never played a game for the Bulls.

    In his career he played all of his 7 games with the Washington Bullets with an average of 4.1 points a game.
