Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) – Oklahoma State forward Darrell Williams was charged with three counts of rape by instrumentation and one count of sexual battery on Monday.

Williams pleaded not guilty to the charges filed by the Payne County district attorney, and the court remanded him to the county sheriff’s office on $5,000 bond. The junior has a preliminary hearing set for March 7.

The charges arose from an incident in mid-December. According to the Oklahoman, which cited court documents, Williams is accused of raping two women at a private residence off the Oklahoma State campus. The paper said Stillwater police have been investigating since December, when they received an anonymous letter about a claimed sexual assault during a party.

The report said six other Cowboys players were interviewed about the incident, but none of them were charged.

The paper cited an affidavit in reporting that one woman claimed Williams put his hands down her pants and underwear and told her to stop moving. The second woman also reported Williams forced his hand in her underwear, and alleged she was sexually assaulted by several Cowboys players. Both women identified Williams in photo lineups, according to the paper.

Yayi Adouk Janneh, not a member of OSU’s basketball team, faces two charges of sexual battery in relation to the incident.
