grkgregParticipanti don’t c the knicks signing any of those players, if they r looking for a multi-year deal, which i’m sure they all are then i don’t c it happening. i love the anthony randolph trade thought and marcus camby for his defense and expiring contract. i would deff re-sign wilcox to a 1 year deal, he looked good. played with energy and got some skills.
i love david lee as a player, but i think for the money his going to get… over 10-12 a season, i would rather put him in a trade package for the #2 pick and draft rubio.
i think the knicks this off-season they are going to be trying to cut down on salary rather then adding. their is no way they will be able to trade curry this off-season, but i think they will be able to move Jared Jeffries. who they were trying hard to trade at the trading deadline, but didn’t want to give up robinson in the deal.
i have a feeling the knicks r going to make a little noise during the draft this year. i could see them draft 2 players in the first round.

knicksfreakParticipantGreen and Barnes are attainable for reasonable prices and we will need 2-guard help behind hughes if we let nate go.Barnes adds toughness and defense and Green has tremendous upside, he just needs to put the pieces together. Wafer and Ariza will probably stay put but who knows. Nobody will take Jeffries now that hes proven he cant make a layup. I’d give him away. A perfect draft for me would be getting Evans at 8 and then trading back in to get Terrence Williams and/or Varnado. Williams can contribute right away and Varnado could give us much needed shotblocking. I also like Jennings but I’m praying we can somehow get John Wall next year. Rubio is good and can contribute right away but he doesnt have the upside of Jennings, Evans or Wall. We should’ve traded Nate while we could’ve got something.

grkgregParticipantthe knicks don’t have a draft pick in 2010, its owned by the jazz. looks like the jazz are going to get a nice lottery pick, like we gave chicago two straight years.
green is a bust, why would u want to sign a player that is up in the air on how his going to do. at the best he can be a scorer off the bench. he been in the league for years now, and can only dunk the ball. barnes is a small forward, that’s the last position we need to address.
key positions the knicks need to fill are, center, point, and sg.
Hasheem Thabeet seems to me at least to be a great fit for the knicks. he runs the floor well, and we all know what he does on the defensive end. i think he can be a really good piece if lebron signs with ny. imagine the knicks draft thabeet and rubio, that would be sick. but i know that’s just a dream.

knicksfreakParticipantI know we dont have a pick next year but we should do whatever we can to get one or more. Sign and trade with Lee or Nate. Green showed alot of promise his rookie season when he got a chance to play. Hes played in Boston, Minnesota, Houston, and now Dallas. All of them are half-court teams with alot of 2’s and 3’s. He could excel in our system. I like Matt Barnes grittiness and he can play the 2 to the 5 like he did for the Warriors when they beat the Mavs the #1 seed. Green is the one I really want. He is still trying to prove himself so we can sign him for almost nothing for a year. He has the skills to be an all-star and hes only 23.
There is no way Lebron is eaving Cleveland. He demanded a winning team in Cleveland. Hes not going to walk away from the team that had the best record in the NBA. Wade isnt coming either and hes always hurt. Joe Johnson and/or Bosh/Amare arent going to catapult us to a contender.
Nobody has won a championship without a superstar and we dont have one nor can we get one. We have to draft or find one.
Thabeet is garbage. He’s on the floor half the game against puny college players. He has no offense to speak of and Yao has a better vertical. I like what I’ve seen of Rubio but we cant get him anyways.
We need to do whatever is necessary to hoard picks for next year. Give away some cap space that people are coveting and get some stars like Wall and Monroe in next years draft. I know its a stretch but we can get a roster that looks something like this in 2011. I’d be alot more excited about the knicks.
C- Greg Monroe
PF- David Lee
SF- Wilson Chandler
SG- Gerald Green
PG- John Wall
6- Danilo Galinari
7- Chris Duhon
8- Chris Wilcox
9- Al HarringtonAssuming we re-sign a few of those guys along with some other vets
