valentinemike wasnt the best of coaches but he didnt earn all the blame. the players deserved alot of the blame and actually most. they are the ones who were missing assignments andf shots and not playing defense or missing box outs and rebounds. let s see how many games they win/lose without mike now. lets see if some fans start to look for someone else , other then the players, to blame

IndianaBasketballParticipantEverybody knows Donald Sterling is the MAIN one to blame, however Dunleavy deserved the criticism he got. He built a running team, but was micromanaging their moves from the sidelines. I think it was a good decision for him to step down. He’s better as a GM.
I think the Clippers will be a better team the 2nd half of the season because they’ll run more. I don’t know if that’ll lead to more wins, but I just think that’ll fit their team better. They ran last night vs Utah and looked good for the most part. The new coach is implementing some new offensive plays, concepts, etc so it’ll take the team time to get used to it. Playing an uptempo game and running takes more dedication than one would think…
The real area they need to improve in is defense though. Their defensive rotations are terrible. Utah ran a clinic on them last night.

quinceyhodgesthey all deserve blame. players should always get most ofit though because they are the ones that have to play the game and no one seems to want to put the blame on the players. you dont go through that many coaches and have lil to no blame put on the guys who are out there playing
so far they are 0-2 without him

IndianaBasketballParticipantUtah has been playing amazing basketball and is on like a 9 game winning streak though… The Clippers were handing it to them for a large portion of the game. They are 0-2 under him, but showed a lot of improvement vs a hot team.
The blame definitely needs to go on the players too. I think they’ve received their fair share also. Last season, the owner went into the lockeroom and basically told every player they were trade bait… While saying he supported Dunleavy lol. They take their blame and criticisms in the paper and the LA area. BD was criticized heavily last year. So was Chris Kaman. Al Thornton has taken heat this season.

esperanzafleet69Participantwell dont wanna be a dousche but when a reporter asked al thornton what their record was on their road trip where they had losses to both the twolves and the nets… he said they played good and had a winning record…. he didnt even know what their record was…. i guarentee if any other coach was coaching that would have been DRILLED IN HIS HEAD…. morale of the story, coaching the nba is 80% managing players 20% calling plays…. mike dunleavy couldnt apparently do either…

quinceyhodgesreguardless.players need to get most of the blame

mikeyvthedonParticipantIs correct, the players on the Clippers need to get the blame on this one. They should be blamed for being put together under the watchful eye of a terrible owner, horrible basketball personnel and a very poor coach. They should also be blamed for not being deep or as talented as other players. Quincey, you realize that this team, even if at full strength and capacity, would at best, AT BEST, be an 8 seed. But, yeah, I blame the players for not being as good as other players. Come on you guys!
