What’s up with all these scoring point guards that wore number 3 wanting to play in China?
First Marbury goes to China to play..Rumors circulated last week that Allen Iverson is thinking about going there..Now Steve Francis says he might go there if the money is right..Francis told a Chinese newspaper that he would also look into becoming a coach over there..Francis is well known in China from his days with Houston playing along side Yao Ming..

If you can get paid $1 million or so why not.
In addition to your salary, you can also endorse a certain product. I’m sure that Stephon Marbury went over there to advertise his Starbury brand.
International league’s are becoming increasingly competitive. Although American players dominate the Asian leagues, unlike European leagues, it’s probably a better fit.
If Francis wants to get coaching experience then any opportunity is good… especially internationally because you learn different parts of the game. Kobe’s dad is a coach in Japan.
Great opportunity for these older guys. Good transition into other roles (coach, broadcasting, business).

I don’t expect Iverson to be there the entire season if he does go to China…
He could really help teams like Chicago & New Orleans..But nobody wants to put up with his B/S

These guys just want to play. I don’t mind them going to China at all. It makes me want to watch the Chinese basketball games to see if these guys have anything left in the tank.

Maybe Marbury can get JR Rider, Antoine Walker, and Latrell Sprewell to play there too. Or just get the guys who compete on Pros vs. Joes, since they all think they deserve to be in the league anyways.
