Ahkasi ClayParticipantSo Good old Royce got traded to houston So the Rockets had enough money to give to dwight his Max Contract.
Everybody is happy!
Except White (who has 48 hour to get to his new team for physicals. To complete the deal) has decided to play in a celeberty game ( not sanctioned by the Rockets) in Iowa instead of meeting with team officials. Between this and yesterdays article where white said “Hell No” to flying. Could the 76ers back out of the trade? And if they do Rockets will not be able to give Howard His important MAX contract. So..?Ok admit it I doubt anything is going to happen but what if?
Would White be the most hated player ever in Houston?0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/11/2013 - 8:30pm #819234

TRC1991ParticipantThis is a strange scenario and I’m interested in seeing if it has any tremendous consequences

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantHe’s so full of himself.
He’s going to end up out of the league, 50lbs overweight, watching the NBA from his apartment 5 years from now.

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantI kind of chuckled at the fact that Royce White could be that powerful.. It really would be interesting, but Houston could probably just make a different deal for cap space

laarethekingsParticipant76ers could still take him without a physical. Why is he still in the NBA is the better question. He’s done nothing but try to reform the way teams treat him but saying that he’s crazy ( anxiety disorder, fear of flying ). He wants them to do it a different way for him. I liked him coming out of school. He has great game. And could be something in the NBA, but he needs to work on his problems. Not try and tell teams that if they don’t do it his way he won’t play.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantPhiladelphia still accepts trade. Then just waves him.
It really cost the nothing besides cap space in a year they are not using it. And still get the rights to some foreign guy.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/11/2013 - 8:58pm #819154

MopgrassParticipantFrom what I understand, he’ll take a buggy or walk to Philadelphia.

TyroberParticipantI absolutely cannot stand Royce White. I felt sorry for him at first because there are people with anxiety issues, but with the way he bad mouths Houston every chance he gets and now just skips a physical for a team that has done nothing to him just pisses me off. He can be living the dream of so many people, but instead he just wants to piss it away. He keeps talking about how good he is, but White is just ignorant. I wanted him to succeed in the league so he could help other people with anxiety problems, but I don’t want him anywhere near a basketball court anymore.
But the Sixers did the deal to get their hands on a overseas player who I had never heard of so White probably doesn’t mean much to them either.

mcbaileyParticipantAgreed. I actually kind of liked his game, but he’s not been worth the numerous headaches.

baggin13ParticipantDude needs to get his shit together, and grow up. If he gets waived I hope he can collect himself and build himself back up, he was such a fun player to watch and has such a fun skill set for his size.
I just can’t believe it has gone so far, I mean he even had (from a fans/my stand point) a lot of support. I just don’t understand it, I mean he even got the OK from the Mayor himself (Fred Hoiberg).Im honestly just getting sick of it, and want him to figure his life out. Do you want to be in the NBA or not? Just man up and make a commitment. Sorry if thats insenitive to his condition (which I don’t truely understand), just wanted to rant.

Bmore_DCParticipantwhy did the Rockets even draft this loser? There were other options when he was picked.

TallmanNYCParticipantStrange decision by Royce, but Rockets are deep under the cap and have many moves they can make to get deeper. They don’t need to trade Royce to make the Howard deal work out.

RafterParticipant@OP Royce White said “hell no” to flying 82 games referring it in the same light as having an allergy to peanut butter and then covering your body with it. He’s said he’s fine with flying just not for the whole season apparently. I hope that clears things up. The deal should go through on that basis.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantIts been over a week since being traded, 3 days since it was a legitimate trade. He missed his 48 hour windiw to report to his new team (it only had to be a phone call to determine the time line for him to take the physical) do the 76ers back out of this trade becuase he refuses to report? Or were they more intrested in some foreign guy?
