joe2324ParticipantJamal Crawford is the only likeable star on that team.

SubZeroParticipantIt really is fun seeing the different ways they can find to collapse every year (although injuries are never fun to see)
I put most of the blame on them being so hateable on Doc. Before he got there, Blake and Chris didn’t complain and go into a fit at every foul like they do now. When Doc came, it was like the whole organization felt this sense of entitlement that wasn’t there before. They always act like they think everyone’s out to get them and that they don’t get what they deserve. I don’t know what he said when he first got there, but the way he changed the culture of that franchise put a giant target on their back.
Hopefully Steve Ballmer can save them before it’s too late

BallerScriptParticipantTo put it simply.. CP3 deserves better

Memphis MadnessParticipantI miss Baron Davis with Blake Griffin!
Blake needs to go to the Lakers if they get Lonzo Ball! Go get Javale McGee too! Then they can get Paul George to sign on next year!
It just makes too much sense!
CP3 back to NO with AD and DMC makes sense too!
Finally move the Clips to Las Vegas and have them rebuild around DeAndre Jordan, Austin Rivers, and draft picks.

ThenilonatorParticipantI’d like to see CP3 go to the timberwolves for a package worked around Rubio, Muhammad and their lottery pick. Would be interesting to see what he could do with this rising roster. I don’t mind the move for the clippers either, particularly if they can get a starter in a strong draft.

xJumpManxParticipantAny team with Kelly Cheap shot Olynk on it deserves to fail IMO. I also do not like the love Isiah Thomas gets hes a 6th man on a deep team.

halfdecayedParticipantCP3 should sign with the Spurs honestly. He could also go back to New Orleans to play with the twin towers, but if he wants to win, the Spurs give him the best opportunity

HitsterParticipantCP3 to T-Wolves isn’t as barmy as it sounds as he’d be the perfect creative outlet for KAT and Wiggins. Also with Tony Parker pushing 35, the Spurs may need a few PG sooner rather than later. Could CP3 go there on a one year lesser deal or until they have cap space or might Spurs’ thinking be, you want to play for us, take what we can offer.

BiggysmallsParticipantTotally agree with the Clippers being super unlikeable.
The conversation about them in the media has gotten so old though. The ole "why are the Clippers underachieving?" thing makes no sense to me. They’ve been a top-five team in the NBA but the NBA is the one league where the best team wins every year. The Clips have been stuck in a stacked West with OKC, San Antonio and Golden State and they just are what they are.
The one year I think they had a chance and blew it was when they blew the 3-1 lead to Houston before the Rockest went and got murdered by GS. This Clippers team doesnt underachieve. It achieves exactly what it’s capable of achieving. It’s a good, not good enough team. I don’t know why so many media people can’t figure that out.

natevalParticipantDoc is a fraud!!!!!!!!!!!!

mgreener_34ParticipantI don’t have a horse in this race, but I can see why people would like to see this team not succeed. Personally, I think it all started with Blake jumping over that Kia, as many fans saw it just as a money grab for the NBA, and a way to force Blake down our throughts. But there are other reasons as well.
– CP3 trade to the Lakers getting voided. Made a lot of fans upset.
– Doc Rivers doing Boston dirty renegging his contract, and getting traded to the Clippers. Something I personally didn’t even know was possible.
– Deandre Jordan signing with the Mavs, getting locked in a cupboard, and deciding not to sign with the Mavs.
– Doc trading for his son, and then giving him an 11 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT! Honestly, this was what broke the camels back for most NBA fans. Showing favortism in any job is the quickest way to lose respect (and your job if your a manager…), and then making him one of the highest paid players on the team is ridiculous when you consider players 10x better than Austin take the vet min just to be a part of that team. Doc was crazy for making that trade, and I lost all respect for him. Even if you think it doesn’t matter, it does. I couldn’t imagine being JJ Reddick, getting paid 7 mil, just knowing that AR gets paid more than me.
I also agree with most people as well in that the attitude and entitlement that the Clippers flaunted is what truly did them in, and they handled it very poorly. Remember a few years ago when people started calling Blake soft? Combine that with the usually "CP3 can’t lead a team out of the first round" argument, and all of a sudden the perception of the team turns from Lob City to Sob City, which is what LA has been the last 4 years.

Afactor4ParticipantY’all can all S a fat D…
…but I think we’ve taken this core as far as we can. As a poster already mentioned, the NBA is one of the only leagues where the best team in the league usually wins, but it is also a league where team/player reputations and successes are very volatile. That being said, I wouldn’t be upset about Blake or CP3 leaving. Probably better to blow it all up now rather than have to endure season after season of disappointment and it all starts with getting rid of Doc.
Doc has become the face of Clipper stagnation and dissapointment the same way Donald Sterling was the face of Clipper mediocrity for years.

MatosParticipantWith all this talk about Paul George going to the Lakers. If I’m Paul George, I would actually want to join the Clippers instead. They’d be much more fit to contend with him on that team and he and CP3 would form one of the best 1-2 punches in the league. DeAndre as your big inside. Blake would have to go. They’d need a stretch 4 in his place and a 3-D wing to close out the lineup. JJ, Crawford, Speights, some other vets off the bench. You’ve got a legitmate contender.
