rileymcshea3Participantgame winning 3
Is there any chance he could win MVP??
If he takes the Knicks from a non playoff team to a top 5 seed with these stats I think he has to be MVP

MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantUnbelievable after playing pretty carelessly in the first half Lin comes back to win it. The legend continues

Sasha4MVPParticipantAmare looks like he has no spring in his step. He got blocked 7 times that game.

BouncyBallParticipantThat was rediculous! He pulled an Austin Rivers and nailed it right in Jose’s face.

torontoraptors10ParticipantUnbelievable shot! Jeremy Lin played really well tonight. What a comeback, amazing game none the less.

Future_Scoutwhat was more impressive, the shot, or the 3 point play to tie it?
im going with the latter.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 4:49pm #636768

NYCrealdealParticipantwhat a game. me and my pops were watching the game and with like 5 mins left hes like yeah typical knicks comeback and lose. hes like im leaving i dont need another heartbreak. but he didnt know Lin had the clutch gene.lol after i went crazy after the shot he came in lmao. but dont get it twisted SHUMPERT won this game for with his D. no doubt hell be seeing all defensive first team playing like he did. great win lets goooo
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 4:50pm #636771

Sasha4MVPParticipantShumpert came up huuuugeee with his defense on Calderon, especially that pick on Calderon with like a minute and a half to go.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 4:51pm #636776

The8thDeadlySinParticipantAmare isn’t the same player he was in Pheonix..
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 4:51pm #636772
NYK2010ParticipantI agree with you deal, Shumpert won thsi game his D is was no joke, he locked up Calderon.
These last 2 wins have been huge, the offensive rebounds late wow.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 4:52pm #636773

kngojcParticipantThe shot was hella cocky. He waited till 5 seconds to start dribbling, there was no doubt he was going to pull up but that 3 point play was sick too. He has a great hesitation step/pump fake that gets people off their feet and he is unbelievable at finishing at the rim.
Lin actually could win MVP if he did keep this up.. With the numbers he’s putting up now.. They ARE better than Rose’s from last year and at the same position. Just saying.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 4:53pm #636775

torontoraptors10ParticipantDefense was played well on both sides.
Raptors had 18 TOs but managed to get 11 blocked shots compared to NYK’s 2 blocked shots. But Shumpert came up BIG! Amir Johnson with 5 blocked shots in the game.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 4:56pm #636778
aamir543ParticipantIf someone knows where to find the highlights, meaing Lin’s, can you please post the video. The first half is up on the Jeremy Lin channel on You Tube, but not the second.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 4:59pm #636779

NYCrealdealParticipantthey were running the pnr very well with lin and amare in the seccond half. first game back from brothers passing coming in the game with all the lin hype who is a new pg tht you never played with in a game…i think he did very well for a first game back.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:02pm #636785

The8thDeadlySinParticipantYou can’t say he is the same.. He is still a top 5ish PF but not the old Amare.

0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:09pm #636791

NYCrealdealParticipanthe is not the same amare that he was with the suns. but can he be the same amare that played the first half of last year…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:09pm #636792

nick5354ParticipantI was watching it and thinking oh god he has left the play to long, then clicked that he is going 1 on 1. I got a massive shiver when he pulled and hit it. Craziest, just omg. One of the my favourite plays this year. Cannot believe it.

marcusfizer21ParticipantToronto fans are awesome… they deserve a better team than what they have now…
Lin is having an awesome streak… Unbelievable… He’s the perfect example of a NBA 2K10 MY PLAYER that came out to life… Undrafted, Summer League, NBA, Starter… wow
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:26pm #636809

torontoraptors10ParticipantToronto Raptors’ fans are one of the best fans. We appreciate hard work on both ends of the floor. If you ever come to the ACC the place is buzzin’ and it’s always a good time. I just want the Raptors to reach the level of the Spurs or Lakers in their prime. We would all love to see a championship back in the city!
Good news is that Valanciunas is coming next season and we will have a top 5 draft pick in the upcoming draft, Raptors can only get better!
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:29pm #636811

TallmanNYCParticipantYeah awesome game. I was watching it in a restaurant/bar (they have direct TV there instead of TimeWarner) and the whole place went crazy with the shot. It was awesome. Six in a row for the Knicks!
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:31pm #636814

marcusfizer21ParticipantI may be a Bulls fan but I respect Toronto fans just as much as I love the people of Chicago… That’s why I was hoping the Raptors could get a superstar player that would actually stay with them for a long time… You deserve a "hero" so to speak… Your team has a bright future no doubt…
Toronto fans are always loyal and when they feel betrayed (Bosh, Carter) they boo mercilessly… Amazing fan base..

Future_ScoutIS THERE ANYWAY LIN GOES THRU THESE BLOGS??? or any blogs at least… lol. he is that down to earth right now, and probably want to know what they talking about him in the underground, you know?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:41pm #636817

Sasha4MVPParticipantbtw wtf is novak doing to Lin in the video? Looks like he is kissing and humping him.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:42pm #636816

The Dirty SanchezParticipantSo how many times does this guy have to keep putting up games like this before we can all agree he’s the real deal.
Too many people out there keep saying he’s not gonna keep doing this, and is just on hot streak

The Dirty SanchezParticipant - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:51pm #636823
Future_Scout^^^ is there more knick fans in toronto, what’s the deal with that? talk about bandwagoners
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:54pm #636830

TallmanNYCParticipantNovak is awesome in these things. I’m pretty sure that there is no other guy on the team (even Fields) who is more excited for Lin than Novak. Think about it, Novak has always been the best shooter on every team and possibly every court he has ever stepped foot on. But he has often not been the best player. He has stuggled with doubt and indecision and criticism. I think he has some genuine joy about Lin’s success. He knows about being in the place where you really feel like you can ball but you just aren’t sure if you are going to be on an NBA team next year. everyone on the team is showing great enthusiasm, but some of them are going to have seeds of jealousy. Bibby is being shown up with every great game by Lin because Bibby could do nothing in the D’Anatonio offense. Tony Douglas is getting another DNP. If Baron Davis gets healthy soon, Douglas might finish the year with DNPs. Then what? If he is cut by the Knicks is he in the league again? Novak has already made peace with his limitations, so I can see him not being threatened by Lin. Also Lin is going to keep passing him the ball and Lin will keep Novak in the league to the tune of half a million dollars a year. So damn straight Novak is happy about Lin’s success.

PulseGlazerParticipantThis was a hugely impressive game. The kid is clearly, at worst, an NBA starter at this point.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 5:56pm #636828
Future_Scoutlol. ironic when posts ago their talking about how good toronto fans are.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 6:01pm #636834

torontoraptors10ParticipantHonestly, those are the clueless basketball fan. They are the hop ons and majority of them are cheering for him because he is Asian. I know so many people that are just cheering for him because he is Asian and these people were on Derrick Rose’s train last year. I know people that went to the game because he is asian and they only started watching basketball now.
The comment on the link D28Sanchez’ posted sums it up:
"Agreed. They are some of the biggest scumbags in the world. Not because of their political views. I could less about what they think. But they keep trying to use Jeremy Lin as their poster child even though he doesn’t share the same views as they do. Jeremy Lin thinks he is as Chinese as he is Taiwanese. He makes no distinctions. This shit needs to stop. Just celebrate him for a man achieving his dreams through overwhelming odds. His ethnicity shouldn’t be a factor."

"idk what shit jeremy lin has been eating but the boy looks healthy out there"–universal aka malik wardia
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 6:45pm #636856

cabbycabParticipantThat arena erupted when Lin hit the shot which was interesting.
Good points by tallman. I always wondered why Ryan Anderson was able to crack the starting lineup and Novak can barely keep a spot on a team. Novak has to be one of the best shooters in the world. I hope this stint will kickstart his career.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 7:48pm #636884
Future_Scouti think we are gonna be seeing lin at sg on defense, while shumpert takes on the pg. like vs. bulls, clips, cavs, wiz, etc. then shumpert can go back to sg on O
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 8:26pm #636902

torukParticipantPlease Melo dont mess this team up.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/14/2012 - 8:38pm #636905

torukParticipantIt`s impressive how steve novak improved and feels confortable withe lin. But its the role team. If Lin on the court shumpert went to sg and improved a lot because all those shots he was taking were killing the the team. Fields needs a good pg to play well, with raymond felton he was amazing but after the trade he started playing bad. Since Lin got back he is thriving, he had a great game today look at his stats 8 points 7 reb and 7 assists almost a triple double. Chandler scoring also went up a lot and now stoudemire had a nice game even though he got a lot of blocks at he scored above his average and mesh up with Lin pretty well. All i hope is that Melo do what he said and have a good approach because he is the one who can benefit the most. With the role team playing better and the offense flowing he will get one on one situations instead of double teams and will be able to score more efficiently. He said all the right things and i believe he will play well alongside Lin. And I believe that the biggest value on Lin is not his scoring(that is great of course) but the improvement he gave to his teamates and how they felt confortable with him is his biggest asset for sure.

PulseGlazerParticipantFuture Scout has it right. Shumpert on 1 and Lin on 2, against most anyone but like Miami and LAK makes too much sense to not try out. I’d like to point out, though, that Calderon was hitting a ton of low percentage shots. Few, if any, guys can make that many long 2s with a hand in their face.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/15/2012 - 4:08am #636962

TallmanNYCParticipantYeah, Calderon went off statistically, but he is a very good shooter to start out with and he clearly just had a hot day yesterday which he could have had against any guard.
I hope Melo doesn’t screw it up. And frankly, I hope D’Antonio just finds some minutes for Lin, Fields, Novak and Chandler to play without Melo on the court. I think that team can do fine, especially against NBA bench guys, and Melo doesn’t really need team mates that make him better. So it doesn’t really matter who he plays with. But to separate Lin and Melo would be hard as they are both starters.
I still go with my original strategy that the Knicks doctors just don’t clear Melo to play as long as this run is going on. That works for eveyone. Melo doesn’t get embarrased by screwing things up or not getting play and D’Antonio doesn’t have to play him and screw up the system (which is beginning to look a lot more like genius than it did two weeks ago). Let’s look for this groin issue to linger just a little longer than originally expected.
