Batum has become a good shooter especially the corner for three like Bowen. His defense with his long arms are similar to Prince.

I think Webster could be the next Bruce Bowen if the TrailBlazers chos to play him that way..

Batum is like Prince though sowewhat, even though Prince is much better off the bounce

why are the blazers showing webster zero love? He played the first 6 minutes of the second half and got some rebounds defended took a charge, and he hasn’t been back in since. I would take him over batum.

Webster as Bowen is a joke. He’s not even a quarter the defender. He’s undisciplined, streaky and, at this point, a clear bust.

Batum is definitely a lot like Prince, those he’s relied on much less in the offensive game plan. He’s shown, when given the chance, that he does have point-forward abilities. But the Blazers have never needed him to use them.

I really loved Batum coming out of France. I felt he was a deserving lottery pick because of his upside. He’s 21 years old. I still think that.

Should he stay healthy and be given the opportunity — which is not a given on the deep-as-can-be-when-healthy Blazers — he may actually eclipse Prince. He’s more athletic and a better shooter.

The guys ceiling is high. I think one has to consider his age and athleticism. Plus in his limited years, he’s gotten a lot of quality playing time for a good team. I think he is capable of a lot more right now, but he only does what he is asked. Miller, Roy and Aldridge are going to be the ones seeing the most touches and shots in the game, so he’s left with the scraps, but he makes a lot out of what he is given. He’s also shown he can be a pretty effective rebounder at the 3. I think he eventually passes both of those guys.

I’m pretty high on Batum. When he came put people compared him to rudy Gay which I can see because he is athletic, but he isn’t the scorer of Gay. Batum could end up being a “poor mans” Scottie Pippen. He we will never be relied on like Pippen, but I think that’s his ceiling. 17ppg, 8rpg, 3assts, 2stsl, and a block. That’s IF he reaches his ceiling tho

Batum I don’t see him as either right now, more likely Bruce Bowen but hard to be that good on defense he barely plays.

Batum has the same build of Prince but isn’t nearly as good on D. Prince is ok in a point forward situation but i don’t know if he is better than batum simply because i’ve never seen batum have the ball in his hands like that.

I’m not saying every long and athletic player is a poor mans Scottie Pippen, I believe I said Batum has the potential to be a poor mans Pippen. I didn’t say he would be or is, HE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE
