Okay, lets see if I can name all the free agents, that need to be signed by tomorrow.
    Micheal Finley
    Zydrunus Ilgauskas
    Mike James
    Possible landings:
    Cavs: Big Z
Jazz/Boston=Micheal Finley. (a great brack up for AK or Paul Pierce)
James=maybe Pacers, Bucks, might stay a free agent.

Anyone else that I am forgetting or maybe other rumors that I don’t know about?

Finley asking for his release was a real head scratcher, considering he’ll probably play the same role on Boston or any other veteran playoff bound team.

He’s a shell of his former self, but I still feel like he could contribute in a limited, but consistent role. I think Dallas and Phoenix, two teams he has a history with, could be possibilities too.

He asked for his release? wow…. i guess he wants to get some playing time but the Spurs are his team. Hes won titles there. Is he going back to Dallas?

I don’t think Finley would affect Nate’s minutes. It’d be between T. Allen and Daniels.

the only way he gets many if any minutes is if he can hit tht three. im not sure if he even has that any more. the celtics are starting to show how desperate they are. father time is kicking there A$$ right now

Z will most likely land back in Cleveland, as far as Finley I have no idea. Would be kind of kool if he went back to Dallas, but someone said his ask for a realease was a head scratcher, I mean I know Spurs aren’t doing amazing but they’re pretty solid too, he must be desperate for another ring(or just PT?). Mike James is quite the traveller, he may try to hit every team in the NBA before he retires. I hope he does land somewhere though, because if not his career is probably done.

I know Mike James won’t end up with the Pacers. We don’t have any room for him… We currently have Ford, Watson and Price. That’s the reason we just released Travis Diener.

i wrote a long time ago that i thought the celts should’ve traded r.allen for larry hughes (b4 finger injury) and jared jeffries to give them a deeper, defensive minded and more athletic bench. (plan also included NY buying out allen so he could go back to BOS). trade didn’t happen but hughes is still in play. he would give them another ball handling vet who can play defense. he’s not the shooter finley is but i think he’s got a lot more left in the tank. if not the celts i think a.)orlando could use another big wing to let jameer run off the ball a lil more (kinda like hedo used to) OR b.)san antonio becuz w/ finley gone and g.hill possibly being a permanent starter, they could use another ball handling guard off the bench.

if not hughes, i think SA should def consider mike james as a 3rd pg.

wasn’t kurt thomas s’pose to get released? wut happened to that? i wanted to see him on denver’s bench. they need 1 more low post body off the bench. birdman has energy and is a great shot blocker, but they need a big body off the bench that can create space in the paint. kurt is old as dirt, but i can’t think of any other relevant vet bigs.

the nets shoulda bought out half their roster. they got a couple vets who contenders could actually use.
