I think Kansas beats Michigan State down.
For the other MSG game, I’m taking Kentucky over Duke in a barn burner. That’s the game of the day.
Lots of games today, only a few good ones though. I wonder if Akron could make a game out of it against Ohio State without Loren Cristian Jackson anymore… Probably just as much blow outs today than there will be regular games imo.
Glad we got college game again!

it seems like its been yrs since the last college basketball game.but here we r 2nite,showcasing several nba prospects scattered thoughtout so many teams… ucla r returning all their starters along with some highly regarded recruits….
u can never count out a tom izzo team..the spartans have built a foundation on defense, toughness, hitting the boards and the savvy leadership of veterans, mainly their point guards…
i dont know who to pick between kentucky & duke..both teams r coming off historically bad seasons ,considering the elite consistent levels they’ve played at for decades…
i’ll be attending the memphis tigers game 2nite..penny has loaded his team with talented freshmen, transfers,an experienced hall of fame coach in larry brown and all star player in rasheed wallace….emoni bates is a beast..his stock has regained steam…watchout for freshman josh minott…

Yeah, guess Duke did edge out Kentucky. It was a pretty good game. Trevor Keels off the bat looks legit. Wow! Memphis would be a nice game to watch this year… that’s tits!

11/12 Big games tonight. Some potential upsets. The main event, I’m taking a Cody Riley-less UCLA team to eek out a win against Villanova is my prediction. Virginia should win after losing in their opener, but I’m thinking Radford will make a game out of that one. SMU is pretty good, but Oregon is just better. Another great game tonight should be Wright State at Marshall, along with one more – SDSU at BYU.

Tonight…(11/13) huge game!!! Take it with a grain of salt because it’s so early in the season, but we have 2 championship caliber teams playing each other. #5 Texas vs #1 Gonzaga. Texas has a ridiculous amount of big time new faces on their team – so does Gonzaga. I like Gonzaga to win it all, but as for this game, to me it’s just a coin toss and the winner is just the more prepared team…

So far no answer for Drew Timme. Gonzaga is much more prepared. They look like a tournament team already while Texas hasn’t figured out how to gel yet…

(11/14)Florida State at Florida seems like it’s the only good game worth anything today.

What I took from the games today:

Wright State is one of the “tougher” teams in the Horizon Conference. I learned that conference is absolutely terrible. With Patrick Baldwin at Milwaukee, it’s clearly the only relevant team in that conference imo. Purdue is good, but what they did to Wright State was a massacre. The other side of it is just how good is Purdue this year anyways? (They are ranked in the top 10) Can they stick this high of a ranking for most of the season?

Not sure about ASUN Conference, they are hit and miss. But with transfer Kevin Samuel playing for FGCU and USC’s coaches last coaching job was at FGCU, I like the storyline from the beginning. The first half looked like it could be a game. USC out played FGCU in a second half beat down. FGCU just didn’t have adequate enough guards that could get a clear shot off in the second half and would they would just turn the ball over. I learned USC is still pretty good.

St. Louis is a solid team thus far. This Memphis team is legit, however and have the clear pros on their squad. St. Louis seemed to do well with the pace of the game, but Memphis is just better in every way from a talent perspective. St. Louis looked like your average A10 team. Memphis look like the team to beat so far in the AAC and a top 10 team.

Houston is a solid team. They crushed Virginia who has quite frankly shown they are not that good. The ACC is also overrated this year imo. Outside of Duke and Syracuse, and maybe UNC the ACC isn’t great. (UNC is talented, just not there yet.) Meanwhile Houston proves tough from maybe an under appreciaterd AAC. Does Houston stand a chance against Memphis for king of the hill in that conference by the end of the year?

Creighton beat Nebraska on the road. Not that exciting right? Creighton is sneaky good this year in a “rebuild” year. They may have lost a few guys from last year, but they remain competitive this year and could surprise a few people. I think they look like a bubble team already. Nebraska seems to just not know how to use their talent. I’m not sure who will survive in the Big East, but so far they look good.

UNC just survived their game against College of Charleston. This was a match that showed UNC needs to gel before they can actually beat a big time team or even a good team consistently. Charleston on the other hand got some needed help from freshman Ben Burnham off the bench. Charleston showed me that whichever team gets out of the CAA into this year’s bracket has a chance to make some noise. UNC has to much talent ultimately.

Richmond proved worthy defending their home court against Georgia State. Tyler Burton and Grant Golden and some heavy storming pressuring defense caused Georgia State to fold. Richmond might be battling for the topish spot in the A10, while Georgia State made a game of it.

Iona defended their home court against an underrated Hofstra team who just took Houston to over time (only to lose that game too). Iona looks like a borderline tournament team and could likely represent the MAAC come tournament time. They are no joke. Meanwhile the Colonial Conference so far looks solid for who they have played.

Readiness and style of played and getting caught off guard is what I think happened to Michigan. Seton Hall has a strong recruiting class this year and some depth that maybe big time teams are sleeping on. They looked like a tournament team against mighty Michigan today. Seton Hall sure pulled off the upset though. Is the Big East underrated? They look good so far.

BYU took on Oregon by surprise early and never looked back. In the first half Oregon only managed to only score 18 freakin’ points. Will Richardson wasn’t himself yet. Alex Barcello was. BYU is a legit tournament team by the eye test. While Oregon needs time to play together as a team, they got out hustled and out played. And omfg, getting hung at the rim at the end of the game was straight embarrassing. That summed up Oregon’s night. They are much better than they showed imo. They did not represent however the PAC12 very well, as that conference took until the tournament last year to prove how legit they are…

Of the games I didn’t mention, South Alabama needs a notable shout out here… They really tested a talented Alabama team.

Hmmmmmm… and I thought Michigan and Oregon both losers today would finish in the top 10. They still could I suppose, but wow!!!

Don’t know if any of you are watching this PURDUE/UNC game, but daaaaaaaamn! And Jaden Ivey has improved his overall game. Playing for USA I think helped a lot. RUDEBOY, good going on calling that prospect being solid from last year!
