JM40ParticipantDwight Powell/Isaiah Austin-both once considered possiblities at #1
Ian Miller/Alec Brown/Patric Young/James McAdoo-projected lottery picks
Tarik Black/Cory Jefferson-mid/late first rounders.

strobox88ParticipantI’ll pretty sure if Isaiah Austin declares for this year’s draft he will get drafted. You can’t teach height.

J_01ParticipantWas he really considered at number 1? I saw at one point he was a late lottery but was he really at number 1? I know McAdoo had some hype as a top 3 but did dwight powell really have that high of a stock?

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantbut Cory Jefferson looks like a solid pro. If his footwork on the perimeter can improve he can be a D and 3 guy in a few years.

ConezdParticipantI agree that he’ll be a good pro but, he’s not a 3 and D player. He’s a power forward who will earn his money rebounding and protecting the rim. He won’t be a 3 point threat in the nba.

hoopgeniusParticipantWas a lottery pick and the first PG on the mock beginning of last season. He will NEVER hear his name called on draft night. Sad because he is super talented.

imAboutDatActionParticipanti have to disagree.i’ve seen him play last year and he never look equiped to running an offense. i think the whole projected to be a lottery pick at the start of the season had more to do with being the starting PG for Kentucky under Calipari than his actual talents.

hoopgeniusParticipantDisagree with what? Midpoint of conference play last season he had a stretch of 8 straight double digit scoring games and led the conference in assist to turnover ratio, he was the best PG in the conference at midpoint of conference play.Noel gets hurt and its all downhill from there not only for Harrow but for their entire team..and that’s the mediocre Ryan Harrow not even the electrifying Harrow coming out of HS.
And the original post was name players who were once projected lottery picks who will struggle to get drafted. Harrow was a projected lottery pick, FACT.
Harrow will never get drafted, FACT.

Screech_PowersParticipantI’m sure some team will take a flyer on him but he was supposed to step up and be the man at Ohio St and as a fan who watched every game he has simply been exposed. He couldn’t see the court for a single NBA team at this point in time.

DukeBlue22ParticipantMcAdoo I believe is finally realizing he is not a big. He is a 3/4 player that needs to shoot that mid-range jumper and that is part of UNC’s recent success. He is playing better. I believe he could be an early 2nd round pick.

ball4life23ParticipantPatric Young is working his way back into the 1st round with his recent play, I still think the only reason he isn’t higher is because how unselfish he is to a fault and he will be a very solid NBA player.

JoeWolf1Cory Jefferson hasn’t done anything to lower his stock this season. If anyone has cooled on him, it’s maybe because he didn’t make some sort of major jump in production or because Baylor has struggled.
He still has NBA length and athletic ability, knows his role, and is a guy you can plug into an NBA bench and he’ll rebound, take smart shots and work hard every day in practice. I never agreed with him bursting into the lotto, but I think he’s still very much in the mix for a mid 2nd round selection.
Jefferson is Baylor’s leading scorer and rebounder, got 13 and 8 head to head against Julius Randle, went for 15 and 8 against Syracuse, 16 and 6 against the KU frontline of Ellis and Embiid, and I think by the time the draft rolls around he’ll get his name called in the 2nd round.

BasterdInABasketParticipantThere were lottery talks for Mitch McGary after that tourney run, definitely should have came out.
Alec Brown from UWGB was in the lottery on this site at one time too.0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/02/2014 - 10:53am #867792

surveParticipantI think Harrow will get drafted. He is lighting it up at Georgia State. He is worth a 2nd round pick even if they d-league him.
If CJ Leslie didnt get drafted, there is a chance that McAdoo doesnt. Its doubtful he doesnt but he had a lot of the same issues Leslie had last year. Inconsistency. Lack of aggression at times. Lack of perimeter skills. He is a freakish athlete that plays in one of the most competitive conferences. Again, so was Leslie…and people thought he would hear his name called in the 1st, but definitely in the 2nd. Just sayin.

hoopgeniusParticipantAveraging 18/game on 44% from the field and 26% from the 3 as a redshirt Junior (so really a senior) in a terrible conference. Had a 4 point game against Alabama earlier in the season. All in all, he’s not tearing anything up…AND WILL NOT GET DRAFTED.
