joe2BAParticipantWow, wow, WOW!!!! You mean to tell me that after Bill Self hands Tyshawn Taylor the keys to the Bentley, if he sticks around, he will be drafted 30th overall in 2011!!!
I’m sorry, but if he comes out THIS YEAR after playing a supportive role, his talent alone will get him drafted first round. But if he comes out in 2011, FORGET ABOUT IT, he will be drafted lottery at least. You can count on Tyshawn’s stock skyrocketing running the offense and leading a national contender with weapons like Elijah Johnson, Thomas Robinson, Morris Twins, Jeff Withey, and possibly Xavier or Harrison Barnes at his disposal.

PaulsJayhawksParticipantHe had his freshman moments last year, but show his game has improved this summer playing for usa leading them in the finals with 18 poins. He’s a good sized point, crazy speed, athletic and showed improvement on the outside jumper. With all the point gueards going this year I hate to say he may want to test jumping next year.

JNixonParticipantTyshawn Taylor isnt guaranteed a 1st round selection, and definitely not a lottery selection, come on now lets not go crazy. He isnt that proven. He also isnt a future no.1 option on offense, he isnt that great offensively. If he makes it to the league, it will be as a defender and a 4th or 5th option offensively I guarantee you that

UofAxWildcatsParticipanti live n kansas so i always watch em on tv,,,and Tyshawn is definately a 1st round selection,,,i wouldnt say lottery yet but he is a big strong guard who avg almost 10 a game,,,and you might be thinkn that not too good,,but he plays alongside Sherron and that dude is always jackin up shots..but tyshawn is a very efficient guard and with bill self as his head coach he will blossom,,,kind of like a Mario Chalmers type of player

JNixonParticipantI agree with that. I said he would make it in the league as a defender and 4th or 5th option offensively, which is exactly what Mario Chalmers (the player you compared him to) is, so we basically said the same thing. Im a big Kansas State fan, so I try not to be bias even though I hate KU (lol), but those are my opinions on the type of player I see him becoming.

GreenLanternParticipantTaylor’s biggest hurdle to becoming a 1st rounder in the 2010 draft is Kansas’ current point guard.

JoeWolf1Na, I disagree Captain America, Self runs a lot of his guards at both one and two. Chalmers, Robinson, in the past, and Collins, Taylor, Reed, and Morningstar will all play both one and two next season. It’s not like Taylor is going to be Collins’ backup. He will get big minutes, and improve, and igodala is right too, he isn’t a number one on offense, but he can run a team, play good d, and knock down the open shot, he dropped 26 against Willie Warren and OU last year, Certainly enought to be 20-28 next year, but I think he could be 12-17 if he stays his Junior year
